It’s hard to imagine looking at Prince Harry and calling him anything other than the full “Prince Harry” or “the prince.” Maybe you could call him “Harry” if you felt bold enough, but honestly, even that seems too informal. Apparently things are different for his closest friends and family members. Meghan Markle’s good friend recently gave an interview about her relationship with the couple in which she admitted she gave him a nickname that Prince Harry actually hated. Yikes!

!!"

The friend in question is Bryony Gordon, a friend of Meghan’s and an English journalist. She recently made an appearance on the British talk show Loose Women to talk about what it’s like to be friends with two of the most talked-about people in the world right now.

Despite that status that they undoubtedly hold, Byrony insisted that Markle is “completely normal.” Byrony and Meghan recently had lunch together, and Byrony said that “She is beautiful, graceful, lovely,” which didn’t surprise us in the slightest. Apparently Meghan even offered Byrony some of the monkfish she was eating.

What did surprise us a little was that Byrony thought of a nickname for Harry that he didn’t like. Byrony spent some time with Harry when she interviewed him about his mental health for her podcast Mad World, and eventually ended up giving him the nickname “Hazza.” We aren’t sure what it means or why she thought of it, but the Prince wasn’t too thrilled with it. Eventually, though, he came around, and reluctantly agreed that she could call him that. What a good sport!

We did a quick internet search on what “Hazza” could possibly entail and we found this definition on Urban Dictionary:

“Harry Styles from [One Direction’s] nicknamed called [Hazza] by more [Directioners].”

Could Byrony be messing around with Harry by calling him by Harry Styles’s nickname?! It’s definitely possible and definitely silly.

Byrony also said that being around Harry is easy and enjoyable, stating, “It’s like chatting with a mate on the sofa with a cup of tea.” We’ll have to take her word for it, as we’ll probably never get to give Harry a nickname in person ourselves.

All of this makes us wonder: Does Meghan have a nickname for Harry? And if so, what is it? Is it as adorably nerdy as the nickname Prince Charles has for Meghan? We can only hope that we eventually get some answers!
