True makeup lovers know that the there are few rewards programs better than the one Sephora offers — and it’s about to get even more beneficial for anyone who shops at the beauty retailer on a fairly regular basis. Get excited, because Sephora is changing their Beauty Insider loyalty program, and it’s definitely going to affect you no matter what level you’re at right now.
As you might already know, Beauty Insider is Sephora’s reward program that offers frequent shoppers points for every purchase they can make. These points lead to discounts, free samples, birthday gifts, special access to sales, and more. It’s always been a fantastic program for anyone who buys a lot of makeup, and it seems like the brand has been working hard to make it even more appealing, which is never a bad thing.
According to Bustle, starting August 14th, Rouge, VIB, and Insider members will start receiving more points, more rewards, more options in gifts, and a more convenient way to track their Beauty Insider status. Oh, and on top of that, Sephora is having a huge sale for members. From August 24th through September 3rd (aka, it ends at the end of Labor Day weekend, so make sure to snag that lipstick you’ve been eyeing), Rouge members will receive 20 percent off. From August 30th through September 3rd, VIB members will receive 15 percent off and Insiders will receive 10 percent off. That means that if you’re a member, you need to mark your calendars. If you’re not? You still have time to sign up to become a Beauty Insider and get 10 percent off.
So what changes can you expect?
The best change is that members will now receive more points. Insiders will continue to receive 1 point for each dollar spent, while VIB will receive 1.25 points for each dollar and Rouge will receive 1.5 points for each dollar. Just a reminder: Insider status is free, you can get to VIB when you spend $350 in a year, and you can get to Rouge when you spend $1,000 in a year. So, with this new policy, once you spend $350 in a year and get to VIB, you’ll be able to get to Rouge faster than ever before!

Rewards will also be changing. Once you’re a Beauty Insider, you get into the Rewards Bazaar, where you can see all of the rewards available. With this new program, there will be five times more 750+ point rewards, including two to three fill-size products for VIB and Rouge members. Rouge clients will be able to redeem 2,500 points for a $100 Rouge Reward, which will be released in the Rewards Bazaar every Tuesday and Thursday.
On top of that, rewards will be including more options in every category. Rouge and VIB members will have the option of getting 250 bonus rewards or the birthday gift offering.
Lastly, Sephora is changing the way you track your Beauty Insider status, making it easier and more clear to read so that you always know exactly which rewards you’re eligible for and what your status is.
