She’s an actress, model, UNICEF ambassador, Converse-sneaker designer, and now, Millie Bobby Brown is beauty and skincare maven. The Stranger Things star is days away from launching her own beauty line, which is targeted toward her Gen Z cohorts. Named after her great-grandmother, Florence by Mills skincare line offers teens “clean,” and less-harsh alternatives to products currently on the market. And although it was made for adolescent and teenage skin, us millennials are absolutely going to give it a try. Sorry not sorry.
“So here it is, florence by mills,” Brown captioned an August 20th Instagram post, which officially announced the launch of the line. “Literally the love of my life, i can’t begin to explain the love i have for this and how hard but crazy excited i was to create it.”
Brown spent two years developing the beauty and skincare line — “that’s a long time to keep a secret,” she added via her Instagram caption. She was inspired to make moves in the beauty industry when she began working on Stranger Things. According to Elle, Brown’s skin reacted negatively to the products being used on set, so she decided to tweak some of the formulas to work better for younger skin.
“I wanted to come into the space because there was a gap in the market for young people,” Brown told WWD per Elle. “I guess I could never find anything that I liked to put on my face and it felt good. I’d take off my makeup and boom, another pimple would appear.”
She continued, “There are multiple different products I’ve put on that weren’t good for me. Some of those were anti-aging, and I was 10 years old.”
So, Brown developed a beauty and skincare line that is cruelty-free, vegan, and free from parabens and sulfates. And Brown made sure that Florence by Mills is safe and effective for all skin types.

Brown also kept Gen Z’s price range in mind when crafting her line. Product prices range from $10 to $34, and will be sold online and in stores at Ulta and Boots.

As if this entire thing isn’t a great enough concept, Brown is also donating proceeds made from Florence by Mills to the Olivia Hope Foundation. Olivia Hope LoRusso was a dear friend of Brown’s who sadly passed away in 2017.
And besides being a stellar beauty and skincare line, the positive vibes this brand is generating is enough to warm our hearts for weeks. With a simple prompt, the Florence by Mills Twitter account started a freaking movement.
