All eyes have been on Hailey Baldwin these days. After a quick engagement and marriage to Justin Bieber, which was finally made official on Instagram, fans still can’t believe that Bieber’s happily ever after wasn’t with singer Selena Gomez. While things still seem a little complicated, as young love often gets, Baldwin just proved she still has her eye on Gomez. Or at the very least, a fan of Gomez’s.
Despite the fact that Gomez has one of the most popular Instagram accounts around, reportedly coming in at #3 with 144 million followers, Baldwin accidentally started following a fan account called HouseOfSel. “Selena is a big inspiration to me,” the HouseOfSel bio reads. “Follow me for the latest updates about her and more interesting posts!” Baldwin likely missed that entirely.
The model quickly recognized her error and unfollowed, but fans noticed. Since things move fast on the internet — especially when Selena Gomez is involved. Still, Baldwin sent a super polite note to HouseOfSel explaining why.

Regardless of your opinion of Baldwin, you have to say — that was a solid move. It also makes sense that Baldwin may be trying to show her support of Gomez. Even though she married Bieber, it doesn’t mean she’s not appreciative of the friendship the two of them had.

Especially since back in 2011, Baldwin openly noted on Twitter that she was a fan of Jelena — which, as you know, was the name given to the Gomez and Bieber pairing. She also wished Gomez a happy birthday in 2011, and commented that she was “so friggin good looking” in 2012.
It seems like Gomez will always have a place in Bieber’s heart. And apparently Baldwin’s, too.
