Christmas is just around the corner, so you know what that means — the annual Kardashian Christmas card must be on its way, right? Wrong. According to Kim Kardashian, the annual Kardashian Christmas card tradition is over. “Kris Jenner has given up,” according to her daughter, among other “dramatic” reasons.

!!"

Pulling the entire Kardashian-Jenner family together for last year’s Christmas card shoot was, well, difficult. The 2017 card, which just featured the women and children (sans the then-secretly pregnant Kylie Jenner), was the source of a lot of family drama. After its debut, we learned via a Keeping Up With The Kardashians episode that Kim and Kourtney fought over Kourtney’s blasé attitude toward the tradition. Then, fueled with rage, Kim accused Kourtney of being the “least exciting to look at.”

Needless to say, things got ugly — no pun intended.

So, this year, in an effort to avoid the drama of roping kids, spouses, and sisters together to take a pic, the Kardashian clan is opting out entirely. Kim told E! News on December 4th while at the KKW Beauty pop-up shop in the South Coast Plaza mall, “I have to say, in thanks to last year’s Christmas card, that really did just f—k us over. That was so dramatic.”

Furthermore, on November 20th, Kim tweeted a not-so-cryptic confirmation that the world would not get a Kardashian Christmas card in 2018.

“Wow reading my mind,” Kim tweeted in response to a fan who wrote, “I feel like with the drama that happened last year, we may not get a Kardashian Christmas card this year. I’ll be cool with a West family one tho!”

Perhaps we’ll get separate cards from each household within the Kardashian-Jenner tribe. And as Kim told E!, the family will still party together on Christmas Eve at Kim and Kanye West’s house.

This break in tradition really hurts our souls. However, a familial rift caused by Kardashian Christmas card drama would hurt even more.
