As the seasons change, we all face an inevitable fashion challenge: How do we transition our beloved winter wardrobe to spring? This question about what makes a great transitional wardrobe leaves us staring blankly at the inside of an empty closet while all our clothes are strewn across the floor. We have no idea what to do with all the items we bought when temperatures dropped, and honestly, we don’t want to stop wearing these warm and cozy purchases. I mean, look at how cute all these Finish Line goodies are! Who would want to give them up just because the sun’s coming out more than usual? We certainly don’t, and we’re willing to do whatever it takes to make them last year-round.

!!"

Fortunately, there are plenty of fashion hacks out there that will help us upgrade our look. Using our favorites from Finish Line, and a few simple tools you probably have in your home, we were able to get our winter wardrobe ready for spring. With this in mind, an over-sized tee can easily become a dress (with pockets!), a holiday-red skirt can become an off-the-shoulder number, a pair of leggings can become a crop top, and your cozy hoodie can become a skirt. These transformations might sound like magic, but they’re actually super easy. And the best part? They’re super fashionable, too, and will easily go with a classic pair of sneaks like the Adidas Sleek.

Make a cropped hoodie and skirt combo out of an over-sized hoodie.

There’s nothing better than a cropped hoodie. It’s the perfect look for spring, but will also keep you warm if it’s still a tad bit chilly. Elevate the casual look of an over-sized hoodie and make your own skirt for a comfy, sporty look!

  4. Insert the grommets into the cut slits. Fit the other half of the grommets over each one of the outside of the slits.
  5. Use a hammer to secure the grommet halves together.
  6. Cut a small piece of a plastic straw and thread the shoelace through it.
  7. Staple the straw and shoelace together.
  8. Thread the straw and shoelace through the hem of the skirt until it pops out of the other grommet.
  9. Remove the straw from the shoelace.
  10. Slip on the skirt and tie the shoelace to the desired tightness.
  11. Finish the look with some black Adidas Sleeks.
