Ultimate Bow Hack
Materials:
- 2” Wide Plastic Ribbon (2 colorways)
- Tape
- Scissors
- Curling Ribbon
- Double Sided Tape
Directions:
- Take 2 colors of 2” wide plastic ribbon and line them up. Add a piece of tape to end so that it adheres when you create a loop with the ribbons.
- Start to roll into large loops. Continue until desired thickness.
- Press down the loop, Start at one end and cut off diagonally from corners of the ribbon. Leaving just a small center. Repeat on other end.
- Bring the two cut edges together in the center. Wrap a small curling ribbon around and tie it off.
- Pull out each loop until all the loops are separated.
- Fluff up and now you have a giant bow! Perfect to add on top of a gift bag or box.
Stacked Cake Wrapping
Materials:
- Wrapping Paper
- Fake Cherries
- Hot Glue
- Hot Glue Gun
- Ruffled Trim
- White Acrylic Paint
- Small Paint Brush
- Tape
Directions:
- (Best if used for multiple gifts) Wrap a small and larger box.
- Starting with the small box, take the ruffled trim and follow along the top edge of the box, hot gluing it down as you go.
- Using acrylic paint, paint on little drapings across the side top of the box. Add little dots under the drapes.
- Add ruffle trim to the side bottom of the box and hot glue down.
- Hot glue fake cherries to each corner of the box.
- Finally add the name of the giftee in the center of the small box.
- Repeat steps 2-5 for the larger box.
- Lastly, place small box on top of larger box to show off your delicious cake!
Gift Wrap Origami
Materials:
- Wrapping Paper
- Tape
Directions:
- Please refer to video to follow along with origami instructions to create airplane and airplane launcher.
Rose Scarf Wrap
Materials:
- Square Scarf
- 2 Small Rubber Bands
Directions:
- Place scarf in diamond formation and place gift in center.
- Pull up the sides. Then use a rubberband to keep together.
- Pulls the sides to tighten.
- Twist the sides and then going in a clockwise motion.
- Once a rose starts to form, place a rubberband around to secure.
- Make sure to leave some edges out to form the rose leaves.
- Fluff out and you have a lovely reusuable rose wrapping!
Ribbon Chopsticks Hack
Materials:
- 2 Chopsticks
- 2” Wide Tape
- 2” Wide Ribbon
- Double-Sided Tape
Directions:
- Using 2” wide tape, secure two chopsticks to a table. Letting them hang over the side.
- Take a 2” wide ribbon. Leave some ribbon hanging. Then wrap twice around the chopsticks.
- Twist twice underneath. Then take one ribbon end and come over the top of the ribbon. Take the other ribbon end and tie ends together.
- Fluff out ribbon and remove from chopsticks.
- Add some double-sided tape and adhere to perfectly finish off a gift box or bag!
Present Ribbon Handle
Materials:
- Wrapping Paper
- Tape
- 1” Wide Ribbon
Directions:
- When cutting the wrapping paper leave it long to ensure length for handle.
- Wrap present like normal, leaving only one side open. Leave wrapping paper long on this side.
- Meets sides in center and press down to score.
- Take 1” ribbon and place along top of opening. Use ribbon as guide to fold side down until flat against top of box.
- Tie ribbon together to create a bow.
- Voila! Your present now has a cute and useful handle!
