A Self-Proclaimed ‘Time Traveler’ Says He Visited the Year 5,000 and Brought Back a Chilling Photo

A man known only as Edward claims he traveled forward to the year 5,000 and returned with proof of what awaits humanity. In footage posted to Apex TV, a YouTube channel focused on paranormal stories, he holds a photograph he says captures exactly that, his face blurred and his voice altered throughout the recording. The full story, he says, began years earlier in a Los Angeles laboratory.

A Secret 2004 Experiment Sent Him Into the Future

Edward says his journey began in 2004, when he took part in what he describes as a top-secret experiment while working at a laboratory in Los Angeles. He claims he was assigned to travel forward in time specifically to take photographs of what lay ahead. He’s kept his face and voice hidden the whole time, he says, to avoid being identified.

‘The Same City, But Underwater,’ Edward Says of His Arrival

Edward described the moment he says he arrived in the future, recorded while sitting on a park bench in Armenia. He said: “I was standing on a huge wooden platform. Not only me, houses, buildings, of course, all made from wood. And after, I realised it was the same city, Los Angeles, but underwater.” The photograph, he says, was taken during that same visit.

Melting Ice Caps and Rising Seas Behind the Claim

Edward says the flooding traces back to melted polar ice caps, which he claims forced humanity onto the wooden platforms he described. Rising global temperatures are already melting ice at both poles and raising sea levels, Express reports. Environmental campaigners have cautioned that without cuts to fossil fuels and pollution, major cities worldwide could face the kind of devastating flooding Edward describes in his account.

He Claims He Spoke With Survivors of Atlantis

Edward also claims he spoke with people living in Atlantis, the legendary sunken civilization passed down through history and folklore. They told him that their home was lost to a great deluge caused by climate change, the same explanation he gives for a flooded Los Angeles. He doesn’t say how the two places, an ancient myth and a modern American city, might actually be connected.

The Video Comes From a Channel Built on Paranormal Claims

Apex TV, the channel where Edward shared his account, focuses on paranormal stories rather than hard news. Time travel itself remains unproven, and stories like his tend to draw skepticism rather than belief. Over the years, plenty of people have claimed to travel through time or predicted major events, and none of those claims have ever held up to scrutiny.

NASA Says This Kind of Travel ‘Only Happens in Books and Movies’

NASA gave Express a different verdict. “Although humans can’t hop into a time machine and go back in time, we do know that clocks on aeroplanes and satellites travel at a different speed than those on Earth,” the agency said. NASA added that true time travel “only happens in books and movies,” though the math behind it still shapes tools people rely on daily, including GPS satellites.

A Second Self-Described Time Traveler Surfaces With 2030 Predictions

Edward is not the only person making these claims. Mirror US reported on a man known only as Noah, who says he traveled from the year 2030 and risked himself by disclosing what he says is coming. Noah shared his predictions with Australian radio hosts Kyle and Jackie O, offering specifics about American politics in the years ahead, including who might one day sit in the Oval Office.

Noah’s Boldest Claim Is a 21-Year-Old President by 2030

Noah told the radio hosts that Yolanda Renee King, granddaughter of Martin Luther King Jr., will become President of the United States in 2030 at just 21 years old, after lawmakers pass a new law lowering the age requirement. Currently, the Constitution requires presidents to be at least 35. John F. Kennedy remains the youngest person ever elected, entering office at 43 in 1961.

Who Is Yolanda Renee King, the Subject of the Prediction

Yolanda Renee King is 17, the granddaughter of Martin Luther King Jr., Mirror US reports. She’s named after her aunt Yolanda King, his first daughter and a longtime activist who died in 2007. She has already shown a flair for public speaking that recalls her grandfather’s. Her story, like Edward’s flooded Los Angeles, sits alongside a long history of time travel claims that ask for belief but may never deliver proof.
