Finally, it’s March! The month we’ve waiting for. With the start of March, comes the electrifying atmosphere of our favorite college sport’s tournament.

Yes, we are none other talking about basketball! But, it’s not just the thrill of seeing your favorite team dominate the court that has us excitable. What we’re excited for is the party spread. And, let’s be honest: The quest for the perfect party spread is as competitive as the games themselves.

This is why we’ve teamed up with our friends at ShopRite to bring you this collection of recipes that’ll guarantee you a slam dunk with your guests! From creative Basketball Snack Baskets to cute Basketball Court Cupcakes, there is a treat for everyone in this collection!

Jersey Rice Krispy Treat

Difficulty: Easy • 12 Servings • Total Time: 30 Minutes

Ingredients:

  • 3 Tablespoons of Butter
  • 1 10oz. Bowl & Basket™ Marshmallows
  • 6 cups of Bowl & Basket™ crispy rice cereal
  • Colored chocolate melts
  • Royal Icing

Directions:

  1. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
  2. Add the Bowl & Basket™ Marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat.
  3. Add 6 cups of Bowl & Basket™ crispy rice cereal. Stir until well coated.
  4. Using a spatula evenly press mixture into a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan coated with cooking spray.
  5. Cool for 20 minutes.
  6. Cut into rectangles and using a small circle cookie cutter, cut half the circle from the top center and top left and right sides to create a jersey.
  7. To make it look more like your favorite team’s jersey, dip one side on chocolate melt and using a piping bag filled with your royal icing create an outline and write your favorite player’s number.

Reese’s Basketballs

Difficulty: Easy • 1 Per Pack • Total Time: 10 Minutes

Ingredients:

  • Reese’s Cameral Big Cup
  • Orange Chocolate melts
  • Black Royal Icing

Directions:

  1. Skewer your Reese’s caramel big cup and completely dip it into the orange chocolate melts, let harden.
  2. Using a small piping bag filled with the black royal icing create the four lines to turn your Reese’s caramel big cups into basketballs.

Referee Treats

Difficulty: Easy • 8 Servings • Total Time: 10 Minutes

Ingredients:

  • Bowl & Basket™ Lady Fingers
  • White chocolate melts
  • Black chocolate melts
  • Black royal icing

Directions:

  1. Take a Bowl & Basket™ lady finger and dip it ¾ of it into melted white chocolate.
  2. Flip it upside down and dip half an inch into melted black chocolate.
  3. Using a black chocolate melt cut in half, place it on the edge of melted black chocolate. Let it harden.
  4. Using a small piping bag filled with black royal icing, create 4 lines on the white chocolate part and finish it by drawing a face on the exposed part.

Basketball Court Cupcakes

Difficulty: Easy • 6 Servings • Total Time: 25 Minutes

Ingredients:

  • Bowl & Basket™ Graham Crackers
  • White chocolate melts
  • Red royal icing
  • Reese’s miniature cups
  • Pre-made cupcakes
  • 8 oz Philadelphia original cream cheese
  • ½ Cup unsalted butter
  • 4 cups of powdered sugar
  • Black licorice rope candy
  • Orange nonpareils

Directions:

  1. Take 2 squares of Bowl & Basket™ graham crackers, place a cake pop stick on the center and secure it with melted white chocolate.
  2. Once hardened, pick it up and dip the rest of the graham cracker into melted white chocolate. Let it harden.
  3. Using a small piping bag filled with red royal icing create an outline all around the edge of the dipped graham cracker and then inside in the center create a smaller square.
  4. Bring in an unwrapped Reese’s miniature cup and with a tiny bit of melted white chocolate secure it under your smaller square to create your hoop. Set aside.
  5. Combine butter and Philadelphia original cream cheese in the bowl of a stand mixer (or you may use an electric mixer) and beat until creamy, well-combined and lump-free.
  6. With the mixer on low, gradually add powdered sugar until completely combined.
  7. Using a piping bag and a piping tip frost your cupcakes with a small smooth layer of frosting.
  8. Cut 4 short pieces of black licorice rope candy and place on the frosted cupcake to create a basketball pattern.
  9. Flip upside down and dip it into a small bowl of orange nonpareils to cover the rest of the exposed frosted cupcake.
  10. Finally bring back your Graham cracker hoop and insert it into your basketball cupcake.

Food Basketball Stadium

Difficulty: Easy • 12 Servings • Total Time: 1 Hour

Ingredients:

  • 32 oz Velveeta Original Cheese
  • Sour Cream
  • Premade pico de gallo
  • Sliced black olives
  • Bowl & Basket™ Original Tater Bites
  • Bowl & Basket™ Mozzarella Cheese Sticks
  • Bowl & Basket™ Cheddar Cheese Stuffed Jalapenos

Directions:

  1. Take empty Bowl & Basket™ crispy rice cereal boxes and cut them in half diagonally.
  2. Wrap the outside of the box with gray wrapping paper and the inside of the box with parchment paper. Repeat the first 2 steps 7 times.
  3. Place your boxes around a baking sheet.
  4. Take a block of 32 oz Velveeta original cheese and cut into ½ inch cubes.
  5. In a saucepan over medium low heat melt the cubes of cheese, once fully melted pour into your baking sheet in between your boxes.
  6. Using a piping bag with a piping tip filled with sour cream, draw a door look like shape on both ends of the melted cheese.
  7. Next with a spoon take some premade pico de gallo and add it to the center of the melted cheese in a circle.
  8. Then take sliced black olives and make a line going down the center through the pico de gallo and also 2 half circles on both ends over the sour cream.
  9. Time to fill your stadium boxes with all of your favorite game snacks like Bowl & Basket™ original tater bites, Bowl & Basket™ mozzarella cheese sticks or Bowl & Basket™ cheddar cheese stuffed jalapenos. (Remember to follow each individual snack’s heating instructions).

Basketball Snack Baskets

Difficulty: Easy • 12 Servings • Total Time: 10 Minutes

Ingredients:

  • Bowl & Basket™ Mesquite BBQ Flavored Kettle Chips
  • Wholesome Pantry Veggie Straws
  • Wholesome Pantry Sweet & Salty Kettle Corn
  • Bowl & Basket™ Peanut Butter Filled Pretzels

Directions:

  1. Get small round white wire baskets and add parchment paper at the bottom of the baskets.
  2. Fill your baskets with your favorite snacks like Bowl & Basket™ Mesquite BBQ Flavored Kettle Chips, Wholesome Pantry Veggie Straws, Wholesome Pantry Sweet & Salty Kettle Corn or Bowl & Basket™ Peanut Butter Filled Pretzels.
  3. Using small basketball backboards write what is in each basket and clip it on so all of your guests can easily identify each option.
