Your Guests Won’t Be Disenchanted with These 5 Princess Party DIYs!

Have you ever wanted to throw a princess party? Whether it’s for your kids or yourself, everyone can enjoy a magical night of royalty.

But, of course, we aren’t royalty. We can’t spend hundreds of dollars to buy decorations and supplies to host one. So, how are we going to throw a gathering suitable for kings and queens?

Luckily, our friends at Disney are coming in clutch with these 5 easy and cute princess party DIYs! From light-up, dazzling Magic Wands to a beautiful and exquisite Upcycled Fairy Mirror, these crafts will have your guests feeling like they were transported to another world. Just like Giselle from our favorite movie, Enchanted!

You can catch Giselle, Robert, and their friends embarking on their next adventure in Enchanted‘s sequel, Disenchanted. Coming out on November 18th on Disney+, it is the perfect time to gather your friends and throw a princess party because it definitely won’t leave you feeling disenchanted!

Magic Wands

Ingredients:

  • Cardboard
  • 2 Paperclips
  • Thumbtack
  • Marker
  • Scissors
  • 2 Yards of Tulle (1 Yard of Pink, 1 Yard of Navy)
  • 2 Yards of Ribbon (1 Yard of Fabric-Navy, 1 Yard of Curling-Pink)
  • Chopsticks
  • Gold Washi Tape
  • Hot Glue Gun & Glue Sticks
  • Mini LED lights
  • Butterflies (blue & pink)

Directions:

  1. Layer 2 pieces of cardboard.
  2. Then hook 2 paperclips together and thumbtack them down to the center of cardboard.
  3. Place a marker at the edge of the outer paperclip to draw a large circle.
  4. Remove one paperclip and then trace a smaller circle with the one paperclip.
  5. Remove the paperclips and thumbtack.
  6. Cut out circles.Making sure you have two identical pieces of cardboard. The pieces should look like a donut.
  7. Wrap the yard of pink tulle around the 2 cardboard donuts until half covered.
  8. Repeat process with navy tulle until other half is covered.
  9. Slide scissors in between edge of cardboard pieces and cut until all the way around until a pompom is created.
  10. Take 1 yard of navy fabric ribbon and 1 yard of pink curling ribbon and wrap in between the cardboard.
  11. Tie a double knot around pompom, remove cardboard, fluff, and set aside.
  12. Wrap gold washi tape at an angle along a chopstick.
  13. Add hot glue to the top of the chopstick and press into the tulle pompom.
  14. Hot glue a blue butterfly to the navy side and a pink butterfly to the pink.
  15. Hot glue a couple mini led lights to give it a glow.
  16. Voila! You have a magical dual sided wand! Good or evil? You decide.

DIY Royal Custom Crown

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 Yard of Lace
  • School Glue
  • Water
  • Jar
  • Glitter (Black and Gold)
  • Cooling Rack
  • Cookie Sheet
  • Headband
  • Hot Glue Gun & Glue Sticks
  • Jewels (Rubies, Pearls, etc.)

Directions:

  1. Fill a jar with equal parts water and school glue.
  2. Place a piece of lace in jar.
  3. Screw jar lid on and shake until completely mixed.
  4. Remove lace from jar and squeeze off excess mixture.
  5. Place the lace on top of a cooling rack above a cookie sheet.
  6. Sprinkle your choice of gold or black glitter until lace is fully cover.
  7. Let set.
  8. Flip lace over and add thin layer of glue mixture to cover other side with glitter.
  9. Once both sides are dry, hot glue bottom edge of lace to a headband.
  10. Attach jewels of choice with some hot glue.
  11. Now you are ready to wear your royal headpiece!

Magical Viewing Tent

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 Yard of Lace
  • School Glue
  • Water
  • Jar
  • Glitter (Black and Gold)
  • Cooling Rack
  • Cookie Sheet
  • Headband
  • Hot Glue Gun & Glue Sticks
  • Jewels (Rubies, Pearls, etc.)

Directions:

  1. Fill a jar with equal parts water and school glue.

Furry Friends Party Favor

Ingredients:  

  • Strawberry Baskets
  • Lace Trim
  • Crepe Streamers (Light Green & Green)
  • Hot Glue Gun & Glue Sticks
  • Red Square Napkins
  • Small Furry Friends
  • Floral Wire

Directions:

  1. Lay the two color streamers atop each other (approximately 10″ strips). Fold lengthwise and cut up and 1/4″ apart all the way down strip.
  2. Wrap the streamer around the floral wire to create leafy vine. Then bend in a U shape.
  3. Set aside.
  4. Take empty strawberry basket and hot glue lace to top edge of basket.
  5. Attach leafy vine with hot glue gun to strawberry basket to create handle.
  6. Add in 2 red square napkins in alternating directions.
  7. Place in your furry friend and ready for adventure.

Upcycled Fairy Mirror

Ingredients:

  • Photo Frame
  • Moss (2 tones)
  • Faux Flowers
  • Butterflies
  • Print Out of City Skyline
  • Mirrored Print Out of City Skyline
  • Double-sided Tape
  • Mirror Effect Spray Paint

Directions:

  1. Remove glass from frame.
  2. Add double sided tape to back of print out of city skyline.
  3. Cover about 1/3 of glass with city skyline and press down to adhere to glass.
  4. Spray 1 coat of mirror effect spray. Let set.
  5. Remove image of city skyline. Make sure clear of all tape. Then spray 2nd coat. Making sure to lightly spray where the skyline was. Let set.
  6. Flip glass over and add the mirrored print out of the city to under glass.
  7. Set glass aside.
  8. Cover frame with with 2 different color mosses, faux flowers, and butterflies. Using hot glue to adhere to frame.
  9. Bring the frame and glass together to create a magical mirror that has you inbetween the modern world and fairytale world.
