One of the most annoying things women face is pregnancy speculation. Not only does it mean that all eyes are on your stomach, but it makes it seem as if every woman is both fertile and ready to have kids. It’s also just plain intrusive, especially for celebrities like Beyoncé. The singer is already a mom of three — Blue Ivy, and twins Sir and Rumi — but fans can’t stop speculating that another is on the way.

As expected, Beyoncé took matters into her own hands and addressed the rumors like a boss. She didn’t openly say it with words, but she said it with actions — which is actually kind of fitting. If you’ve been following Bey for a while, you’ll remember that she announced her pregnancy with Blue Ivy through performance. During the Video Music Awards back in 2011, she unbuttoned her jacket and rubbed her belly after singing “Love on Top.” It’s all fans needed.

This time around, the singer was performing “Flawless” at a show in Cleveland. Getting into the song, especially the key lyrics of “I woke up like this,” Beyoncé touched her belly again. So she was pretty much telling the world that she’s not pregnant — she simply woke up like this. For the record, she woke up looking amazing.

The singer has admitted in the past that she’s struggled with fertility, meaning that even if she was pregnant, she might not feel good with an open announcement just yet. It’s also in her right to pull a Kylie Jenner and keep it a secret until the baby arrives — if she’s even looking to add to her family in the first place.
