In 2012, Kim Kardashian and Kanye were one of the most famous new couples in the world. They had known each other for years, but had recently begun dating after Kim split from her husband of 72 days, Kris Humphries. Although the pair weren’t divorced just yet, news of her blossoming relationship with the rapper spread quickly.
It wasn’t long before the two were taking things to the next level. At a December 2012 concert, Kanye drew attention to Kim in the crowd and called her his “baby mama.” Apparently, the two hadn’t talked about sharing their pregnancy just yet and Kim was totally taken off guard. She would later reveal that she was pregnant with their first child together on social media.
In 2013, they welcomed their first child, a daughter. They named her North West and a new icon was born. A very famous person offered her input on Kim and Kanye’s name choice for their first baby.
According to a May 2019 interview Kim did for her cover shoot in Vogue, the first-time parents had some input on their name choices from Anna Wintour. Apparently, Wintour approached Kardashian after hearing a rumor that she was going to name her daughter North. She told her she thought it was genius, and Kim says this really helped her decide on the name once-and-for-all.
Some of us are named by our loud, Italian grandma, others are named by the editor-in-chief of Vogue.
2. Her Conception

Poor girl, her parents and other famous names have made a point to talk about the night she was conceived with the press. For starters, Kanye shared that he believes they conceived North West “among the Renaissance masterpieces” during a trip to Florence. Then, the creative director of Balmain, Olivier Rousteing, took things a little bit further and made a point to say that Kim was wearing a Balmain dress that night.

For North West, it’s just another part of her fabulous life. In fact, she’s been known to hang out in the front row of designer shows with her parents from time to time. Caiden Mills, the son of the rapper Consequence, has posted on his Instagram more than once about his crush on North West. The Fendi brand is well-loved by the Kardashian crew. North West doesn’t just carry their bags, a high fashion shoot for the brand was one of her first modeling campaigns. At five years old, she was featured in a campaign celebrating the ten years anniversary of the Fendi Peekaboo bag alongside her mother, Kim, and grandmother, Kris Jenner.
7. Her Runway Career

According to Financial Express, North’s wardrobe was valued at $1 million in 2014, when she was just one year old.
