Forget roses, Sarah Hyland and Wells Adams put a ring on it!
The Modern Family star confirmed the engagement, with her boyfriend of two years, with a series of adorable shots of Wells popping the question on Tuesday evening.
“That can’t eat, can’t sleep, reach for the stars, over the fence, world series kind of stuff,” she captioned a slideshow of snaps starting with her fiancé on his knee.

Wells also took to social media to gush over Sarah with the most beautiful behind-the-scenes video of the proposal.
“I love you to Pluto and back FIANCÉ,” she replied, before showing off her sense of humor. “When we get married will I automatically acquire your talent for making everyone cry with a homemade video?”

While the sea of romantic pictures melted our hearts, our eyes were glued on the major piece of bling.
“Sarah’s ring looks like a beautiful white 5-carat Oval cut that is most likely F or G color and VS clarity,” Andrew Brown, CEO of WP Diamonds, shared with E! News. “On the simple thin band, from Lorraine Schwartz, this ring would probably run $175-$200,000.”
Another jeweler speculated to the publication the ring may be even bigger. “It’s all about the oval with Sarah Hyland’s new engagement ring! This show-stopping ring features an approximate 7-carat Oval Cut Diamond in a delicate gold solitaire setting and could retail from $125K. You could say that ‘he did Well(s).'”
Before the duo officially rang wedding bells, Wells hinted at the topic before. In a candid conversation with his Your Favorite Things podcast co-star, Brandi Cyrus, he shared comments assuming “Sarah pays for everything” hurt. “I will pay for this ring, I promise you,” the reality star said. “It will come out of my bank account.”
The match made in hit TV show heaven has always had each other’s backs, since they started flirting on Twitter in 2016. While things didn’t turn romantic until the next year, they first posted together in a couple’s Stranger Things costume for Halloween in 2017.
Hyland told PEOPLE that moving in together brought them closer together. “I don’t think it’s been long enough to discover pet peeves with each other,” she said.
“I think we’re in the honeymoon phase of living together. It’s good that nothing is already starting, because then I think that would be a bad sign.”
Even from the outside, you can see how fiercely Wells loves Sarah.
He’s always the first one to hit back against anyone that dare criticizes her weight, glasses, or incredible hair.
I mean, does anything else scream loyalty like someone defending your bikini selfies from haters who tell you to “Eat a doughnut” with a response like, oh I don’t know, “Eat sh*t.”
