The world learned something new about Meghan Markle, and it’s all thanks to her fab taste in footwear. The Duchess of Sussex was at an event wearing a pair of barely-there heels, showcasing her toes to the world. And, well — her second toe is actually longer than her big toe.

!!"

While it may look strange in photos, the diagnosis is very common. Called Morton’s Toe, it’s just a genetic abnormality that approximately 20% of the population has — one of them being  Markle. Also called “Greek toe” or sometimes just “long toe,” it’s not the end of the world.

Still, it does cause foot pain on occasion, which is why it’s admirable that Markle even chose to wear heels altogether — paired with her pregnancy, she’s handling herself like a true pro when it comes to staying fashionable. When Markle buys shoes, looking for extra foot room is something she likely takes into account, especially if she’s attending a long event.

If things get really bad for Markle, it is possible for those with Morton’s Toe to opt for surgery. According to VeryWell Fit, surgery would either require lengthening the big toe or shortening the second toe.

But, a matter like that should only be considered if the pain gets too bad.

Because, appearance-wise, Markle has some stunning feet — and again, this is a pretty common issue.

It’s great to know that Markle isn’t hiding her feet from the public. Instead, she’s promoting the fact that feet come in all shapes and sizes. If someone tries to make fun of you for having Morton’s Toe, now you can confidently say that Meghan Markle has also had it since birth, and it wasn’t an issue to an actual prince.
