All The Celeb Relationships That Didn’t Turn Out To Be Failures

Falling in love in Hollywood sounds magical.

Celebrity couples get to go to red-carpeted events, live in lavish mansions, and work on projects together. They usually meet on set and travel the world any chance they get. But while most celeb couples call it quits early into their relationships, not all do. In fact, a lot of Hollywood relationships are thriving as we speak.

However, that doesn’t mean their partnerships are easier than others. The majority of celeb couples are living unique and hectic lives, and have to think outside the box on how to keep their love alive. Most celeb couples are always on the road, working on their next “Big Thing,” and this distance can cause tension.

Good news is: many celebs have figured it out. While they’re working on projects and going to events, they’re also making sure to put their relationships first.

As fans, this makes us extremely happy, because nothing excites us more than seeing a celeb couple win. So without further ado, we decided to gather a list of celeb relationships that are doing extremely well. While not every relationship lasts, it’s never a bad idea to celebrate the ones that are kicking butt and making it work.

1. John Legend and Chrissy Teigen

[fm_giphy url=”https://media.giphy.com/media/26BGyih17lNQv6QtG/giphy.gif”]

Music brought these two together.

This infamous couple met on the set of John Legend’s music video and have never left each other’s side since. Ever since they got married in Lake Como in 2013, they’ve had two children, named Luna and Miles, and has celebrated five years of marriage together.

2. Lena Waithe and Alana Mayo

[fm_instagram url=”https://www.instagram.com/p/BzhMKpjgeZ3/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link”]

Nothing but love for these two queens.

While we might not know too much about this cute couple, we do know one thing: That they’re madly in love with each other. Back in 2017, Lena Waithe proposed to executive producer Alana Mayo while they were on vacation in Japan, and even though they claim their wedding is going to be extremely small and intimate, we can assume it’s going to be a party no one will want to miss.

3. David Beckham and Victoria Beckham

[fm_instagram url=”https://www.instagram.com/p/BzfHWo0noBu/”]

David spiced up Victoria’s life.

It was always meant to be for this one-of-a-kind couple. While the couple met at a charity football match in 1997, they decided to make it official by getting engaged just a year later. Since then, the couple has gotten married, had four children, and even renewed their vows years later in front of their closest loved ones.

4. Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi

[fm_instagram url=”https://www.instagram.com/p/Bis1WuMDudU/”]

This couple always makes us laugh.

However, there’s nothing but serious love between these two. According to Insider, Portia De Rossi knew she was in love with Ellen DeGeneres as soon as she laid eyes on her at a party. However, she didn’t express her interests until three years later. Luckily, DeGeneres felt the same way. Soon they got married in 2008 and have recently celebrated their tenth wedding anniversary last year.

5. Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds

[fm_giphy url=”https://media.giphy.com/media/q4D8u7IAz1ZVm/giphy.gif”]

It wasn’t love at first sight for this couple.

While this pair met on the set of Green Lantern, nothing was felt between these two until after they left the set and went on a double date together with different partners. A few years later, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds expected their first child together in 2014, and their second child in 2016.

6. Michelle Obama and Barack Obama

[fm_giphy url=”https://media.giphy.com/media/uYwij1GjtoiVW/giphy.gif”]

#Relationshipgoals

Former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama are the definitions of true love. For over 25 years, the Obamas have done and gone through it all. Not only have they had two children together (and have parented a couple of dogs, too), but they have managed to stay together while Barack had one of the toughest jobs in the world: being the President of the United States of America.

7. Ricky Martin and Jwan Yosef

[fm_instagram url=”https://www.instagram.com/p/BrFi4AdHxqo/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link”]

This couple is living la vida loca.

While we’ve known Ricky Martin to be an international music sensation for what seems like forever, his husband, Jwan Yosef, is a Syrian-born Swedish painter and artist. They recently got married in 2018, welcomed their daughter, Lucia Martin-Yosef, last December, and gush about each other all over social media.

8. Gina Rodriguez and Joe LoCicero

[fm_instagram url=”https://www.instagram.com/p/BxaVz-Vg7bA/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link”]

This Jane the Virgin star has fallen deeply in love with this actor.

While we know plenty about actress Gina Rodriguez, we still have a lot to learn about her husband, Joe LoCicero; however, what we do know is that they met on Jane the Virgin and recently got married in the middle of this year and seem like they’re madly in love.

9. Will Smith and Jada Smith

[fm_giphy url=”https://media.giphy.com/media/FsTz9o6bRSmSxEAt5h/giphy.gif”]

This Fresh Prince married this cool girl.

If there’s one couple we hope that stands the test of time, it’s Will and Jada Smith. This couple has already been together for over 20 years, and have two children together. Plus, while Will was doing a podcast, he said, “We don’t even say we’re married anymore. We refer to ourselves as life partners.” Ugh, how romantic.

10. Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher

[fm_giphy url=”https://media.giphy.com/media/yBm0zxXfCkVZS/giphy.gif”]

Nothing but love for this tried-and-true couple.

Mile Kunis and Ashton Kutcher have known each other for years, but while this couple met on That ’70s Show, they actually didn’t get together until much, much later when they reconnected at the 69th Golden Globe Awards. Now they have two kids and are living a very private life together. Cue the awws.

11. Oprah Winfrey and Stedman Graham

[fm_giphy url=”https://media.giphy.com/media/5yLgocxIH1wQMtxT8FW/giphy.gif”]

They’re basically royalty.

What’s not to love about this star-studded couple. Not only has Stedman Graham been by Oprah Winfrey’s side while she built an empire, but she also has supported him through his own professional endeavors. Even though they have no plans of getting engaged anytime soon, we doubt they’ll ever end their relationship.

12. Samira Wiley and Lauren Morelli

[fm_instagram url=”https://www.instagram.com/p/Bvb758wh7vx/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link”]

Nothing criminal about this love.

However, this couple did meet on the show Orange Is the New Black. Good news is: their love for each other was undeniable. Even though Lauren Morelli was married to a man at the time, she couldn’t extinguish her love for Samira Wiley. Thankfully, the feeling was mutual for Morelli, and they soon got married in Palm Springs.

13. Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard

[fm_giphy url=”https://media.giphy.com/media/3o6ZtkKS9BOf6TIHu0/giphy.gif”]

This couple is not afraid to tell it like it is.

While Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard have been together for years, they don’t shy away from the fact that they really had to work on their relationship. During an interview on Off Camera with Sam Jones, Shepard even admitted that he didn’t know if he wanted to be with Bell at the beginning of their relationship. Luckily, he made the right choice, as they’re now basically living happily ever after.

14. John Krasinski and Emily Blunt

[fm_giphy url=”https://media.giphy.com/media/8UHRVDEU2OL61laTqt/giphy.gif”]

We want to become BFFs with this couple.

And can you blame us? They’re hilarious, recently celebrated their ninth anniversary together, and recently completed a little joint project called The Quiet Place, where they claimed that working together has only brought them closer to one another. Oh, and did we mention that they have two lovely children together? Yeah, their relationship is picture-perfect.

15. Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Justin Mikita

[fm_instagram url=”https://www.instagram.com/p/B0JFX3-B2ND/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link”]

Their love for one another is so cute.

This couple has been together for five years, which is a very long time in the world of Hollywood. Since getting married in 2013, they’ve been enjoying their time together but have recently discussed the idea of starting a family. According to People, Jesse Tyler Ferguson said, “We don’t have any sort of timeline right now. When you have to look for alternate means, there’s a little more planning that has to go into that, so who knows. When we start the process it might still be a three-year ordeal. We’ll see what happens!” So fingers crossed for this lovely couple!
