Many actors meet their significant others-to-be while at work. Think about it: spending well over 40 hours per week at a job is bound to spark a little romance between colleagues. Sure, their work environment might be a bit different from where us regular folks work, but that certainly doesn’t deter from the attraction two people can start to feel for each other while they’re on the clock. And when you start talking about actors who fell in love while on set, you realize that the list gets pretty long, really fast.

!!"

Unlike the rest of us, most actors’ romances are viewed under a microscope. The minute we hear that two celebrities are in a relationship, we want to know everything: How did they meet? How long have they been together? Do they go on double dates? How often do they fight? Mix this curiosity in with some casual paparazzi photos and the pressure is on for any celebrity love birds who are just trying to get to know each other.

Unfortunately, because of all that pressure, we’ve learned that not all Hollywood romances are built to last.

Between being in the public eye, having crazy work schedules, and barely getting any alone time, most relationships that are stuck in the limelight eventually dwindle and vanish. Fortunately, that doesn’t stop most actors from falling in love with one another on set. And that doesn’t stop us from obsessing over them. So, to further enable our obsession with all things Hollywood and romance, we found 17 Hollywood actors who fell in love with each other on set.

1. Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan

While Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan danced together on screen, they also danced their way into each other’s hearts.

On the set of Step it Up back in 2006, Tatum and Dewan met, fell in love, and eventually decided to get married back in 2009. While they had a daughter together and were happily married for nearly 10 years, they unfortunately announced that they would be separating in 2018.

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds started out as good friends before they decided to get married in 2012. While they first met on the set of Green Lantern in 2010, they didn’t realize how strong their feelings for each other were until they went on a double date with different partners.

[fm_giphy url=”https://media.giphy.com/media/ZlFMe6lTgVg0E/giphy.gif”]

Even though Brad Pitt was married to Jennifer Aniston at the time, the chemistry between him and Angelina Jolie on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith was explosive.

But as you probably remember, things didn’t work out so well for these two. After having three of their own children together, Brad adopting Angelina’s children, and having a secret wedding in France, this infamous couple decided to officially call it quits after Angelina filed for divorce in September 2016.

4. Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux

Love is a funny thing.

While Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux fell in love on a comedy film set called Wanderlust, their feelings for each other were completely serious. Over seven years this couple managed to secretly get married in the backyard of their home, go on countless vacations together, and support each other through every rumor that was thrown at them. But, sadly, nothing lasts forever. A day after Valentine’s Day, the couple announced their divorce, and love as we knew it was gone.

5. Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez

Things got hot and spicy on the set of Gigli.

Nothing screams Hollywood romance quite like the love affair Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez (AKA Bennifer) had. Their relationship was always in the tabloids, and while they were engaged to get married, J.Lo postponed their wedding a week before it was supposed to happen. Eventually, she called it quits and Bennifer was no more.

Jennifer Lopez wasn’t the only person Ben Affleck fell in love with on the set.

While they initially met each other while filming Pearl Harbor, Jennifer Garner and Affleck fell head over heels in love on the set of Daredevil in 2002. Since then, they got married, had three children, and were together for 10 years. Sadly, their romance came to an end when rumors came out about Affleck cheating on Garner with their 28-year-old nanny, Christine Ouzounian. Days after, the couple announced their split in 2017.

Vampires and love and marriage, oh my.

This onscreen couple fell in love IRL while filming their show True Bloods. According to People, Stephen Moyer instantly knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Anna Paquin. “By day three or four [of being on set] – oh, this is going to sound so syrupy – but I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her. It was within seconds, really, and it just became a thing,” explains Moyer. Luckily, this blood-thirsty couple is still together. They got married in 2010 and are parents to twins.

While things might’ve ended between these two love birds, their love for each other was strong.

In 2010, Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield met and became close on the set of The Amazing Spider-Man, even though they were both in different romantic relationships. And it all started when they met on the set of the 1997 horror movie, I Know What You Did Last Summer. To this day, this couple has barely been in the spotlight, and are thriving. They have 16 years of marriage and two kids under their belts. If there’s one couple we hope lasts forever, it’s them.

They might’ve met on set, but didn’t actually start dating until two years later.

While filming Slumdog Millionaire, Dev Patel reportedly called Freida Pinto his soulmate before they even started to date. Well, apparently he wasn’t wrong, because they were together for six long years. Even though they decided to split in 2014, Pinto later revealed why she wanted to end the relationship. “There comes a point where you’ve got everything you want – career, love, family – but you’ve ignored yourself,” Pinto said to the Daily Mail. “Life hits you and you think, ‘What about me? What do I really want?'”

Not only did they meet on the set of Once Upon a Time, but they got pregnant and then married soon after with all their closest friends and family in attendance. You honestly can’t get much cuter than that.

Music and love are in the air for this celebrity couple.

While Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are living their best lives after having met each other on the T.V. show, The Voice, things weren’t always perfect. Before they became a couple, they each divorced their previous partners. Luckily, they had each other while they were going through the tough time, which eventually lead to the beginning of their steamy romance, according to Insider. While they’ve been together for about four years, there’s been no talk of a proposal happening in the near future.

13. Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling

[fm_instagram url=”https://www.instagram.com/p/9Z_TYmrw-x/”]

They didn’t have to wait seven years to get together.

This couple reportedly fell in love with each other while they were on the set of The Notebook, even though they were often fighting. But once filming was done, Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling took their relationship to a whole other level. Even though things ended for them in 2007, according to People, Gosling told GQ Magazine that The Notebook “introduced me to one of the great loves of my life. But people do Rachel and me a disservice by assuming we were anything like the people in that movie. Rachel and my love story is a hell of a lot more romantic than that.” How sweet!

14. Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes

[fm_giphy url=”https://media.giphy.com/media/ygF1X8g8Y105i/giphy.gif”]

Ryan Gosling found love on another movie set.

This time it was with Eva Mendes on the set of The Place Beyond the Pines. While they were secretly dating during filming, nothing about their courtship was confirmed until 2011. And even though we don’t know much about their extra-private relationship, we do know that they have two daughters and are doing extremely well living their low-key lives together as a family.

15. Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz

[fm_giphy url=”https://media.giphy.com/media/cttEDzgvLUK1LKNa3i/giphy.gif”]

What’s not to love about this couple?

Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz are seriously #couplegoals. According to The Oprah Magazine, not only were they friends for years before they became romantically involved with each other on the set of Vicky Christina Barcelona, but they had a secret wedding in the backyard of a friend’s home in the Bahamas. Sounds so dreamy.

[fm_giphy url=”https://media.giphy.com/media/1zjvCSi0YUIot4Dbb0/giphy.gif”]

The freshest love of Hollywood.

How can you not fall in love with this couple? They’re both super big movie and T.V. stars. Plus they constantly talk about mental health on each of their social media channels. Initially, this couple met during an audition for the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air but didn’t become a couple until a few years later. And well, as you already know, the rest is history.

17. Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult

[fm_giphy url=”https://media.giphy.com/media/YkkwvYHkle6Eo/giphy.gif”]

Aw, young mutant love.

While filming X-Men: First Class, Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult became very close. Eventually, they announced their romantic relationship in 2011, but after three years together, the couple decided to end things for good, even though they had more X-Men movies in the works. Thankfully, there are no hard feeling between these two. According to People, Lawrence mentioned how she’s friendly with all of her exes during an interview on WTF with Marc Maron in 2018. She said, “Everybody always knows how you feel at all times and there’s no lying, it’s just honesty. Everybody’s a good guy to each other. All my boyfriends have been wonderful. Nick [Hoult] was a great boyfriend.”

Apparently, when it comes to actors who fell in love on set, there really are no limits.
