“Big Bang Theory’s” Kaley Cuoco’s Wedding Dress Had One Unique Detail Every Bride Will Be Copying This Year

July 02, 2018

Kaley Cuoco is officially off the market, folks! On Saturday, June 30th, Big Bang Theory’s Kaley Cuoco married fiancé Karl Cook during a stunning ceremony. Besides the buckets of white flower petals and the strings on strings of twinkly lights, the dreamiest part of Cuoco’s wedding may have been her lace cape. Rather than sporting a traditional veil, Cuoco donned a Reem Acra cape and gown look that we are head-over-heels in love with.

Unfortunately for us, Cuoco’s couture look was custom-made for her, and is therefore unavailable for us to purchase. But Acra loves a good cape moment and has worked bridal capes into several of her recent runway styles.

In her Fall 2018 line, Acra designed a gown/cape combo called “Passion,” which features a plunging neckline and lace shoulder details.

And in The Prophet Collection, Acra designed a cape for “My Dearest,” which, like Cuoco’s, ties at the neck.

Both of these looks are available to try on and purchase at Reem Acra boutiques and retailers across the country. You can locate the closest Reem Acra showroom on the designer’s website.

According to Dimitra’s Bridal Couture website, a Chicago-based showroom that houses Acra’s designs, the Reem Acra bridal collection ranges from $5,000 to $15,000, depending on the gown.

But if you’re a bride on a budget, there are several alternatives to Cuoco’s couture cape.

David’s Bridal offers a $159.95 tulle cape that clasps at the collarbone and features 3D appliqué flowers.

And countless Etsy artisans have crafted capes that any bride would feel like a princess in.

This $340.25 rose gold crystal cape by WildestDreamsBridal is making our hearts flutter.
