Cole Sprouse Made A Bad First Impression On Girlfriend Lili Reinhart, And We Can All Relate

They may have been teasing us with the “we’re just friends” line, but come on — we’ve all known that Riverdale’s Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart are an item. Whatever their status may ~really~ be, the two opened up about their friendship in a “Friendship Test” video for Glamour Magazine. And as is true with many other friendships, Sprouse didn’t make the best first impression when he met Reinhart.

“I thought his voice was annoying,” Reinhart confessed. “I was like, ‘That guy’s got an annoying voice.’ And now it’s grown on me, I guess.”

As for Sprouse, he thought Reinhart was a “tough egg to crack.” He said that it took Reinhart a while to open up to her Riverdale castmates. “She’s very shy at first, and reserved,” Sprouse said. “I think it was about halfway into the first season she started letting people in, truly.”

Since their questionable start, their friendship has blossomed into a thing of beauty. Reinhart said that Sprouse is “the smartest person that [she’s] friends with.” She continued, “He’s incredibly passionate about art, about photography, about acting, and I really admire that.”

“[Lili] is one of those people that consistently pushes me to be better at the arts that I’m pursuing,” Sprouse said. “She inspires excellence out of everybody she works with.”

If all this nice stuff doesn’t make you want to cry and shout “BUGHEAD FOREVER,” then watching Glamour’s video definitely will. Reinhart, Sprouse, and costars Madelaine Petsch, Casey Cott, and Vanessa Morgan have some seriously good stuff to say about each other.
