Sorry, body shamers. Camila Cabello is not “buying into the bullshit today.” The Señorita singer hopped on Instagram on August 3, 2019, to share her opinions on body shaming. Cabello, who stated in her message that she has been avoiding social-media scrolling recently in order to protect her feelings, clapped back at those who think it’s okay to shame her for her appearance.
First of all, body shaming anyone is never acceptable. Second of all, body shaming queen Camila Cabello is absolutely never acceptable…EVER!
“I haven’t gone on social media AT ALL with the conscious intention of avoiding things that hurt my feelings,” Cabello wrote on her Instagram Story on August 3rd, “but for a second I forgot while trying to find a pic to post about it being Havana’s 2 year anniversary and my eyes accidentally ran over a head line of people ‘body shaming me.'”
She wrote that her first feeling after seeing the headline was insecurity. “Oh no! My cellulite! oh no! I didn’t suck in my stomach!” Cabello said. “But then I was like…of course there are bad pictures, of course there are bad angles, my body’s not made of fucking rock, or all muscle, for that matter, but the saddest part of young girls growing up in an airbrushed world is they’re seeking a perfection that’s not real.”
“I’m writing this for girls like my little sister who are growing up on social media,” she continued. Cabello wrote that she’s concerned about young women seeing photoshopped and edited photos and thinking that’s reality. “It’s fake,” she wrote, “AND FAKE IS BECOMING THE NEW REAL.”

“We have a completely unrealistic view of a woman’s body,” Cabello wrote. “Girls, cellulite is normal. Fat is normal. It’s beautiful and natural. I won’t buy into the bullshit today!!!! Not today satan. and I hope you don’t either.”
She then signed off, “Love only, camila.”
As if it wasn’t obvious before now, we stan. We stan Camila Cabello so hard!

Because TBH, cellulite is so normal it’s crazy. In fact, we don’t know when not having cellulite became the norm.

We’re starting a new campaign: Make Cellulite Sexy Again. Thoughts?
Actually this is the new campaign we want to get behind. We love a good women-supporting-women movement.
The fact that anyone will take time out of their day to drag someone down is beyond us. Come on, people. Do better.
Leave it to Camila Cabello to find the silver lining of a bad situation and share it with the world. Like we said, WE STAN.
This message is so important for everyone to hear. No matter what age, you’re absolutely perfect.
Someone give her an honorary PhD. We will take professional advice from her any day.
She, as well as the rest of us, are soooo over the hate and criticism out there. Can we sign an internet pact to be nice to everyone from here on out?
The general consensus online was that Cabello does not deserve any hate. She is a gem who only deserves the best.
Like we said…WE STAN.
We stan harder than we ever did.

Now, if you don’t mind, we have to go print Cabello’s post and hang it on our mirror.
