Britney Spears Made $56 Million Last Year, But Her Favorite Shopping Spots Will Make You Go, “LOL Girl, Same”

You probably aren’t surprised to hear that Britney Spears makes a lot of money. She’s been one of the most well-known pop stars of our generation for about 20 years now. She had a very successful Vegas residency for four years, still makes the occasional public appearance, and she’s just, well, extremely famous. But you might be surprised to hear that when it comes to going shopping, Britney is more like us “normal” folk than you may have imagined. Britney’s favorite shopping spots have been revealed, and let’s just say that they are painfully relatable.

The reason we now know exactly where Britney shops kind of stinks, though. At the moment, she’s involved in a court case because her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, is asking for more alimony money. Although Buzzfeed has reported that Britney already pays him $20,000 a month for child support (despite the fact that she pays for many of the children’s things), he wants more. In court documents, it was disclosed that Britney made $56 million in 2017. This is a huge sum of money that most people will never see in their lifetime, let alone in one year.

Still, it seems like Britney doesn’t blow her cash on closets full of expensive handbags and clothes.

According to court documents, Britney does most of her shopping at Trader Joe’s, Target, Walmart, and Bed Bath & Beyond. This is basically your average suburban mom’s favorite stores, and to think that a pop star like Britney could be seen there on any given Saturday is pretty amazing.

Documents also said that Britney likes to buy food from Wetzel’s Pretzels, Tommy’s Burger, McDonald’s, and Sonic. Her favorite clothing stores are, apparently, Old Navy, TJ Maxx, and Macy’s.

This probably isn’t a huge shock to you if you obsessively follow Britney via social media accounts and paparazzi photos. The singer doesn’t attend a ton of public events, and when is she is photographed, she usually looks like any other casual, busy momma. One could definitely see how she spends a lot of time at these stores.

Even if you aren’t surprised, though, it’s nice to hear that someone like Britney Spears likes to shop like the rest of us. Keep doing you, girl!
