Kylie Jenner’s Launching Her New Birthday Collection, And Fans Have Feelings

For the most part, Kylie Jenner hasn’t endured too many scandals. Sure, some may have thought her pregnancy was ill-timed, but she seems to be a pretty amazing mom. And, if anyone could afford additional childcare help, it’d be Kylie Jenner. Jenner had garnered a ton of interest in recent years. For one, she’s been named the youngest self-made billionaire by Forbes!

Regardless of her famous family, Jenner — who was literally born into money — still knows a little something about the art of the hustle. Her Kylie Cosmetics line has been super successful, and not just because she’s has a ton of followers online. She reportedly keeps things simple, by only having 7 full-time and 5 part-time employees working for her. By making her company small yet powerful, she has control over so many aspects of it — and knows not to waste resources.

That said, her most recent products may have been a bit of a miss. Jenner releases Birthday Collections each year, and the theme this year is supposedly something to the tune of, “Hello, I’ve got a whole lot of money.”

Well, sort of. It’s definitely money-themed, which is rubbing people the wrong way. Probably because Jenner has a lot of money, and fans are handing more over to Jenner by buying her products.

Others are a little more critical of her products’ names. For example, one of her new eye shadows is called “Work For It.”

Does Jenner work hard? Of course. But in comparison to a majority of her fans, she may not know how easy she has it.

Think about it. She could pose for a photo, or do a product endorsement, and make more money than most of us would see in months.

She’s still in her early 20s, which also means that we’re all not even sure what her earning capability will look like in the future. Just that, if Jenner decided to close up shop completely on Kylie Cosmetics, she’d be more than fine.

By releasing this collection, it seems like Jenner is almost making fun of her fans. Sure, they may feel like money wearing the makeup, but it’s not like Jenner is being relatable by basing her collection around it.

This isn’t the worst thing in the world, nor is it a “scandal.” It’s just a little tone-deaf.

But rumor has it she might be sharing the profits with a yet-to-be-named charity.

In an Instagram comment thread, Jenner left the tiniest Easter egg of things to come, and it seems like there will be some sort of donation announcement to follow the release of this collection.

Jenner reportedly selling pictures of money with her face on it is just rubbing it in. We get it, girl — you’re loaded.

And, not only are you loaded. But you’re lucky enough to have been born into a family who really knows how to turn image into profit.

Plenty of people who aren’t all that fond of the Kardashians and Jenner also don’t like the fact that she’s a “self-made” billionaire.

Obviously, it took a lot of influential people for her to get to where she is today.

And, Kim Kardashian probably helped. Her sudden rise to fame helped create a spotlight on her sisters.

Aside from the theme, people still seem to like the makeup. So, at least Jenner has that.

People like the fact that the Jenners and Kardashians have money. But, they also don’t necessarily want to hear about it.
