Kim Kardashian Was Spotted Filming A New Doc At A Very Surprising Location

Love or hate her, you have to admit it: Kim Kardashian always finds a way of surprising people.

Regardless of how she got her start and her initial spotlight, she’s managed to make plenty of excellent moves regarding her career. Even her siblings are more or less set for life. Keeping Up With the Kardashians first started airing in 2007, and it is still going strong with no signs of cancellation. But Kim Kardashian wants to be more than just a reality TV star.

And that’s one of the reasons why she’s busy filming a documentary. These days, Kardashian has been using her fame for a great reason — to bring awareness to issues she sees in the U.S. Correctional System.

According to Page Six, the documentary is called Kim Kardashin West: The Justice Project. And, it’s more than just talk. Kardashian was actually spotted filming in a prison, meaning that she’s out there getting the real scoop. She was seen at the DC Correctional Treatment Facility on Tuesday, July 23, 2019.

The documentary is about Kardashian’s work in lobbying for prison reform. Page Six adds that the documentary, which is set to air on Oxygen, will be two hours.

The documentary will likely help a lot of people view Kim Kardashian in a totally different way.

Plenty of people mocked her when she said she wanted to become a lawyer, but if she’s out there making a difference? More power to her.

Earlier in July 2019, both Kardashian and her husband, Kanye West, lobbied the White House in the case against A$AP Rocky.

Rocky has been detained in Sweden due to a street fight.

It’s not a situation of Rocky necessarily doing the crime and trying to avoid the time.

The prison he’s being held reportedly operates under inhumane conditions. Page Six reports that it’s unsanitary, and that they’re prohibiting him from using essential amenities.

She’s also working hard to free Kevin Keith. Keith was initially on death row, but he is scheduled for a life in prison for a murder that Kardashian and many others think he didn’t commit.

The murders happened back in 1994, and many suspect that Keith was framed.

There was reportedly no evidence that linked him to the crime. With the extra attention from Kardashian, his case has a better chance of being reviewed.

She’s also using her own money to help those less fortunate.

In May, it was reported that her mental and financial support was key in freeing 17 inmates who were in jail for minor drug charges.

Kardashian’s lawyer, Brittany K. Barnett, also reportedly had a hand in it. It’s due to her 90 Days of Freedom campaign, which Kardashian has also quietly supported.

But, that’s not the only step Kardashian has taken. Oxygen reports that she’s been very involved in the Georgetown Prison Scholars courses, which she herself proclaimed to be life-changing.

So, in knowing that, it’s a lot less ridiculous to think of Kardashian becoming a lawyer. After all, that’s what her father did for a living.

She’s also putting all of the necessary work into all of this. She’s showing up at the prisons herself, and taking all the right steps towards her new career change.
