Kaley Cuoco Is Spending Her Honeymoon In The Hospital, Which Isn’t Exactly Our Ideal Destination

As fans of The Big Bang Theory probably know, about a week ago, star Kaley Cuoco got married to fiancé Karl Cook during a truly beautiful ceremony. There were gorgeous white flower petals, dreamy twinkly lights, a stunning Reem Acra cape and wedding gown, and some ridiculously perfect-looking wedding photos posted on Instagram. Unfortunately, it appears that the honeymoon has not been quite as lovely. Cuoco is spending her honeymoon in the hospital, and we can’t say that’s our ideal location.

We’re not sure about the exact details of what happened or what the honeymoon was supposed to be, but it’s pretty clear that a vacation won’t be happening any time soon.

A few days after the wedding, Cuoco posted a photo on Instagram of herself in a hospital bed with her new hubby by her side. Her Instagram caption said, “When your ‘honeymoon’ is shoulder surgery and your husband looks just as happy lol on the road to recovery – thank you for all the love and support! Knowing @mrtankcook I’m sure he will be posting tons of hilarious gems. Thank god my hair color is on point (@clarissanya).”

Since this was a shoulder surgery (E! said it was an “undisclosed medical condition”), it was probably planned ahead of time and their honeymoon is likely happening at a delayed time. Still, a hospital isn’t exactly the romantic place you envision spending time in during the days following your wedding.

At least it seems like the newlyweds are making the best of the situation, as we knew they would. Cook shared the cutest photo of Cuoco in her glasses at the hospital with the caption, “Everyone has their own version of a newlywed glow… well @normoncook yours is memorable. #shouldersurgeryhoneymoon.”

Luckily, it seems that they didn’t have to spend too much time in a cramped hospital room.

Shortly after posting the photos, Cook posted a video of Cuoco snoring in the passenger seat of a car while wearing giant sunglasses, with the caption, “@normancook snoring like a distressed walrus. I love you so much honey but wow! #shouldersurgeryhoneymoon.”

A few hours later, he posted another video of Cuoco at home, looking comfortable in sweatpants and declaring that she just ate a bunch of key lime pie. Could be worse!

We’re sure these two will make up for this with an epic honeymoon when Cuoco is feeling better. For now, they can just enjoy being together in the comfort of their own home!
