For his 18th birthday, Justin Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun surprised him with a chrome-wrapped Fisker Karma. The environmentally friendly car which featured a solar-panel roof cost the generous gifter a humble $100,000.

But since cars and luxurious getaways have become a commonplace present, stars have reached for more showstopping gifts— and we can’t believe the lengths some celebrities how gone to.  In 2013, Angelina Jolie was rumored to have bought her then-husband Brad Pitt a $19.7 million heart-shaped island. However, this turned out to just be a bunch of fake news!

Portia De Rossi surprised Ellen Degeneres on her own show, Ellen, with an incredible birthday present. Portia announced she was giving Ellen her own gorilla conservation center for her 60th, moving her wife to tears.

Ellen, who’s been an animal rights activist for years, was blown away by the present, admitting that she’s “beyond excited” and Portia “knew the exact right gift to give me.”
