Everything Coming To Netflix In Fall 2019

All of the streaming services available to us at our fingertips make it easy to find great television shows and movies to watch whenever we’re feeling bored. In fact, it seems almost impossible that any of us would ever run out of things to watch – there are so many options out there! But even with all of the great TV and the interesting movies, it’s actually totally possible to realize that we’ve already seen everything we’ve wanted to see. Luckily, Netflix adds new programming every few weeks to keep us all invested.

The fall season is always a big time for new television shows, and that even holds true for Netflix. The popular streaming service will be introducing a variety of new shows this fall, as well as new seasons of returning shows. And, on top of their excellent original programming, Netflix will also be adding new shows and movies that you’ve probably been meaning to watch. And now you can!

Here’s everything coming to Netflix this fall – get the popcorn ready!

1. Superbad – September 1

[fm_youtube url=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4eaZ_48ZYog”]

You’ve likely already seen Superbad, but it’s definitely a movie that is worth rewatching. And if you haven’t seen Superbad yet, well, what are you waiting for? Now that it will be on Netflix, you have no excuse! This hilarious coming-of-age comedy features young versions of Jonah Hill, Michael Cera, and Emma Stone, all of whom are graduating high school and trying to have much fun as possible before college begins.

2. My Sister’s Keeper – September 1

[fm_youtube url=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KGEDVTiI6E4″]

Another movie hitting Netflix in early fall is My Sister’s Keeper. If you haven’t seen it yet, prepare for a very emotional journey. Based on the novel of the same name by Jodi Picoult, My Sister’s Keeper, this is the story of Anna, who was born to be a marrow donor for her very ill sister. The decision has led to a lot of tension in the family. As you can imagine, it’s a huge tearjerker, but still worth watching.

3. Elite, Season 2 – September 6

[fm_instagram url=”https://www.instagram.com/p/B00sIdlFmzb/?utm_source=ig_embed”]

This Spanish language teen soap opera is full of drama, intrigue, murder, romance, and more, and you definitely won’t be able to resist it. Season two will address the jaw-dropping finale of season one, and hopefully answer some big questions – and that’s really all we can say without giving away any spoilers. The show has been a big hit on Netflix – it was renewed for a second season almost immediately after the first season dropped. If you haven’t seen season one yet, now is the time to watch it. It’s only eight episodes, so you’ve got this!

4. The Spy – September 6

[fm_youtube url=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5UijUOy0MmE”]

This miniseries hits Netflix in early September. Starring Sacha Baron Cohen, it’s a true story based on the life of Israel’s top Mossad spy in Syria, Eli Cohen. The limited series takes place in the 1960s. It was created by Gideon Raff, whose Israeli drama Prisoners of War inspired the show Homeland, so this is a series you’re not going to want to miss out on.

5. Eat Pray Love – September 10

[fm_youtube url=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g8csr68LjUM”]

Looking to be inspired by a spiritual journey? Watch Eat Pray Love (maybe again) when it hits Netflix. Based on the memoir of the same name by Elizabeth Gilbert, the film stars Julia Roberts and is truly a motivational story. It’s about a woman who left behind her career and her home after going through a divorce to travel alone through Italy, India, and Bali, and who discovers herself along the way.

6. The I-Land, Season 1 – September 12

[fm_youtube url=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VNlnQFeNR0Q”]

Netflix’s version of Lost begins in early fall. The I-Land is a science fiction thriller starring Kate Bosworth and Alex Pettyfer, and it’s the story of 10 people who wake up on a treacherous island with no memory of who they are or how they got there. While trying to get home, they face some very unexpected challenges. That’s about all we know so far, but it definitely seems intriguing.

7. The Ranch, Part 7 – September 13

[fm_youtube url=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VHG00LIh0WU”]

This is almost the end of The Ranch, which is said to be ending after part 8… so now is the time to get your fix. Starring Ashton Kutcher and Sam Elliott, it’s about a semi-pro football player who failed at his career and had to return home to his ranching business with his father. Part 7 will show us if Debra Winger is really returning or not.

8. Hello, Privilege. It’s Me, Chelsea – September 13

[fm_instagram url=”https://www.instagram.com/p/B1ZLRGnnaA6/”]

Fans of Chelsea Handler will definitely want to tune into this documentary, where Handler takes a good look at how white privilege really impacts America. She also acknowledges her own white privilege and explores how it has affected her own life and career. It’s sure to be interesting and eye-opening… and probably amusing in a way as well, since this is Handler we’re talking about.

9. I’m Sorry, Season 2 – September 13

[fm_youtube url=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rFhQmj6GX70″]

If you’re looking for a funny show to give you all of the laughs, try watching I’m Sorry. Season one premiered nearly a year ago, and since then, fans have been anxiously awaiting season two, coming out this September. The show is about modern mom and comedy writer Andrea, who juggles her job and co-parenting in some truly brutally honest and hilarious ways.

10. Surviving R. Kelly: Season 1 – September 15

[fm_youtube url=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MrJvDouqb_s”]

If you missed this horrifying documentary and are interested in finally watching it, you’ll have your chance in September, when it comes to Netflix. This documentary series tells the stories of young women who finally feel able to come forward and speak out against R. Kelly, who has been accused of abuse, pedophilia, and predatory behavior towards women. The documentary is eye opening, sad, and extremely important.

11. Disenchantment, Season 2 – September 20

[fm_instagram url=”https://www.instagram.com/p/B1wCZpPgCQa/”]

Adult cartoons are a gift, and Disenchantment is no exception. It’s an animated fantasy series that takes place in Dreamland, a crumbling medieval kingdom. Disenchantment tells the story of Bean, an alcoholic young princess, her elf friend Elfo, and her personal demon Luci. As you can probably imagine, it’s hilarious, enjoyable, and just really fun to watch.

12. Between Two Ferns: The Movie – September 20

[fm_twitter url=”https://twitter.com/seewhatsnext/status/1164230752956870656″]

If you’ve never seen any of the Between Two Ferns videos online, do yourself a favor and Google them. The videos feature Zach Galifianakis as something of a disgruntled talk show host. He interviews celebrities just to ask them the most awkward, ridiculous questions, and the end result is hilarious. Obviously, it’s all staged, but it’s just fun to watch regardless. On September 20, we’ll get a chance to see how these short videos play out in movie form.

13. American Horror Story: Apocalypse – September 24

[fm_youtube url=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_3vVolZcisE”]

Just in time for Halloween viewing, the eighth season of the television anthology series is coming to Netflix if you want to binge watch. This season was a crossover between Murder House and Coven, and featured stars including Kathy Bates, Connie Britton, Dylan McDermott, Gabourey Sidibe, Stevie Nicks, Angela Bassett, and Jessica Lange. It’s just as spooky as the rest of the series, so it’s perfect for the fall.

[fm_youtube url=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gq93JAfSAnY”]

Fans of Glitch will be happy to know that the show is returning with season three in late September. Any fans of sci-fi who haven’t watched it yet absolutely should. Season three is also the final season, so tune in to find out the conclusion to this series.

15. The Politician, Season 1 – September 27

[fm_youtube url=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6-kdBlzCG7w”]

Ryan Murphy’s latest show is a highly anticipated one, and hits Netflix in late September. It’s the story of Payton Hobart, a wealthy high school student from Santa Barbara with high hopes to become the president of the United States one day. With a star-studded cast that includes the excellent Ben Platt, Lucy Boynton, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Jessica Lange, it’s sure to be entertaining and fascinating.

16. Gotham, Season 5 – September 30

[fm_youtube url=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mUe79BSig_4″]

Fans of Gotham will be happy to know that season five will be available on Netflix at the very end of September. For those unfamiliar, the show takes place in Batman’s world, and tells the story of a young James Gordon, as well as a young Bruce Wayne. Start watching now for a very binge-worthy experience.

17. Big Mouth, Season 3 – October 4

[fm_instagram url=”https://www.instagram.com/p/B1bswCCneb6/”]

Big Mouth is easily one of the funniest adult cartoons out there right now, and fans are thrilled and excited for the return of the show with season three. Big Mouth is about preteen kids navigating puberty, their love lives, and growing up, but it’s incredibly honest, hilarious, and just totally ridiculous. Get your fix of the Hormone Monster again soon!

18. Raising Dion, Season 1 – October 4

[fm_instagram url=”https://www.instagram.com/p/B1OqcjMgdge/”]

He has superhero-like abilities that she has to try to hide, along with her husband’s best friend, in order to protect him against those who want to use him for their own good. Exciting!

19. El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie – October 11

[fm_youtube url=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MI2FNMphkzg”]

Breaking Bad fans, our time has come. On October 11, the movie based on the television series is coming to Netflix. It was also directed by Vince Gilligan, and stars Aaron Paul. At the risk of spoiling Breaking Bad for those who haven’t watched it yet (what have you been doing?!), the movie is about Jesse Pinkman’s life after the series. And it looks very good.

20. Living With Yourself, Season 1 – October 18

[fm_twitter url=”https://twitter.com/seewhatsnext/status/1164552837914755073″]

This is another highly anticipated Netflix original series. It stars Paul Rudd as Miles, a struggling man who decides to try out a new spa treatment that is supposed to make him a better person. But it turns out they meant that literally: he gets replaced by a better version of himself, and has to deal with the consequences. It is, as you would expect, a comedy.

21. The Kominsky Method, Season 2 – October 25

[fm_youtube url=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gaC9npDg-j0″]

Another show to watch for lots of laughs in October is The Kominsky Method. [fm_instagram url=”https://www.instagram.com/p/BzOGNhVna8m/”]

While the exact release date for this spooky show hasn’t been released just yet, we do know it will be some time in October – one would assume before Halloween or maybe even on Halloween, since that would be pretty perfectly timed. The show will pick up right where it left off, with Sabrina trying desperately to get her boyfriend back.

23. The Crown, Season 3 – November 17

[fm_youtube url=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R9HN61lC4k0″]

It feels like it’s been forever since new episodes of The Crown were released, but we’re finally getting our fix. The third season will be out on November 17, and since it’s further along in time, it features an entirely new cast. Olivia Coleman will play Queen Elizabeth herself, and it also stars Helena Bonham Carter and Tobias Menzies. It’s definitely one to look forward to.

24. Lost In Space, Season 2 – November 2019

[fm_instagram url=”https://www.instagram.com/p/ByxuRArF__S/”]

Another sci-fi show will be returning this fall as well, although we don’t know the exact release date just yet. Lost In Space is about the Robinson family, who live 30 years in the future and are picked to start a new life in a space colony. Things don’t go as planned, and they soon find themselves surrounded by aliens. Season two is going to be just as exciting as the first season.

25. Bojack Horseman, Season 6 – Fall 2019

[fm_instagram url=”https://www.instagram.com/p/BpkXhJLHE1n/”]

We still don’t have a release date on the sixth season of Bojack Horseman, but it’s expected to return in either September or October. The regular cast will be there, as well as plenty of celebrity guest stars, although, again, we don’t know who they are just yet. The details aren’t all clear, but this hilariously weird cartoon is worth waiting for.

26. Fuller House, Season 5 – Fall 2019

[fm_instagram url=”https://www.instagram.com/p/BtTnjCKlaoL/”]

The Full House spinoff is back for another season this fall, although we aren’t quite sure about the exact date yet. And yes, it’s true that it doesn’t seem like Lori Loughlin will return for her role as Aunt Becky after the college scandal she’s been going through in real life. This will also be the final season, so stay tuned to see how the show wraps everything up.

27. Insatiable, Season 2 – Fall 2019

[fm_instagram url=”https://www.instagram.com/p/Bv1sobyBq9S/”]

Another show we don’t know the exact release date of is Insatiable. Many were surprised the show got a second season after the controversy that followed the first, but it did! The show is about an overweight girl who loses weight and gets popular, and a petition was actually signed trying to get it shut down. It’s back, though, and it’s interesting to see where the show will take viewers this season.
