Sometimes, the pressures of fame lead celebrities to make questionable decisions, and some celebs just don’t believe the law applies to them at all. These stars get arrested just like everyone else, though. And even if they only get a slap on the wrist, their celebrity mugshots live on forever.

Unsurprisingly, many of these offenders end up with flattering mugshots. They’re like stars in front of the police camera. However, drugs, sleep deprivation, and shock can lead to some pretty embarrassing celeb photos. They probably wish the mugshots never happened in the first place, but those images are immortalized on the internet incredibly quickly.

Even celebrities who faced the law before getting famous aren’t safe. The internet makes every celebrity mugshot fair game. Maybe those reminders of a bad night in jail are good, though. Perhaps they encourage celebs to change their ways. Even their bad decisions have consequences.

Their notoriously terrible celebrity mugshots are proof indeed.

1. Larry King

Yes, that Larry King.

You might not know this, but the popular host was arrested in 1971 for grand larceny. This photo, which makes him look a little like a deer in headlights, was taken when his hair was just a bit thicker.

2. Hugh Grant

How uncomfortable is this photo of Hugh Grant?

The actor was busted in 1995 in the midst of engaging with a sex worker. His facial expression is just about right.

3. Macaulay Culkin

Macaulay Culkin is making quite a bit of a comeback these days.

But he certainly had a tumultuous time in his 20s. The former child actor allegedly had pills and marijuana in his possession then. This blurry mugshot certainly didn’t help his case.

4. Vince Vaughn

Actor Vince Vaughn has a couple of mugshots.

This particular 2018 mugshot made Twitter crack up, though. In it, Vaughn is almost smiling, and he seems a little confused. You’d probably expect to see this photo in the faculty section of a high school yearbook.

5. Russell Brand

Russell Brand’s mugshot doesn’t even look like a mugshot.

Instead, it looks the comedian accidentally took a webcam photo at an Apple store a decade or two ago. Still, there’s something embarrassingly menacing about his facial expression.

6. Heather Locklear

Heather Locklear went through a rough few years.

The actress was in and out of jail for multiple reasons, including domestic violence and attacking a police officer. While all of her mugshots are a little embarrassing, this one from June 2018 may be one of the worst.

We’ve all seen this SNL alum have better days.

After crashing into a construction truck, Chris Kattan failed a sobriety test back in 2014. This image is the result.

8. Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi

Jersey Shore‘s Snooki is actually willing to discuss her terrible mugshot.

She admitted on Twitter, “I wish my eyelashes stayed glued on for my mugshot. I asked the cops 20x to redo my photo.” People reportedly sold posters of the pictures, so all reality TV fans could remember her disorderly conduct arrest forever.

9. Vince “ShamWow Guy” Schlomi

You already forgot about this guy, right?

His arrest and the photo that followed were both bizarre. Supposedly, Vince Schlomi hired a sex worker who tried to bite off his tongue. Both parties reportedly dropped charges, but Schlomi’s career hasn’t been the same since.

10. Joshua Jackson

Pacey, say it isn’t so!

Allegedly, a drunk Jackson assaulted a security guard during a hockey game. The incident happened while the actor was filming Dawson’s Creek.

11. The Weeknd

Everyone loves The Weeknd, but his mugshot is just not that great.

The picture was taken after the singer got into a brief altercation with a cop back in 2015.

12. Lindsay Lohan

Lindsay Lohan definitely posed for more than a few mugshots.

This one is especially bad, though. The actor looks like she doesn’t know where she is or what trouble she caused.

13. Dina Lohan

Unfortunately, Lindsay Lohan’s mom, Dina, didn’t learn anything from her daughter.

The Lohan matriarch got arrested for drunk driving in 2013.

14. Shia LaBeouf

Actor Shia LaBeouf’s mugshots seem to get worse as the years pass.

In this one, it’s almost like LeBeouf can’t be bothered to even look at the camera.

15. Shaun Weiss

Now, this one’s shocking.

You probably remember Shaun Weiss from his role as Goldberg in The Mighty Ducks. He also featured in the movie Heavyweights. In fact, Weiss was a major player in the ’90s. Unfortunately, police arrested him for drug charges.

Now, he looks twenty years older than he actually is, leading fans to wonder what the heck happened. Hopefully, he’s considering recovery.

16. Khloé Kardashian

This mugshot is a little messy, but it’s not terrible.

Embarrassingly, though, Khloé’s family members framed the photo and hung it up in their respective homes. It seems like they forgave the star for driving under the influence in 2007.

If he wasn’t wearing orange, Justin Beiber would look perfectly normal in this picture.

There’s just something a little too joyful about his expression. It’s almost like Justin is happy to be there.

Reese Witherspoon’s entire arrest was embarrassing altogether.

Even though she’s a great actress, yelling out, “Do you know who I am?” was a bad look. This mugshot is a bad look, too.

And, nope, his eyes aren’t open. This mugshot, taken in 2011 after a domestic abuse charge, is one of the worst Nicholas Cage photos.
