This Conspiracy Theory About Anne Hathaway’s Husband Will Make Your Head Spin

Can you see Anne Hathaway in a production of Romeo & Juliet? So can we. But alas — that casting dream of ours hasn’t yet become a reality. Still, Hathaway and Shakespeare do have something in common. And once you hear about it, you won’t be able to look at them the same way ever again.

Hathaway has been happily married to Adam Shulman since 2012. Schulman, a producer and actor, has one child with Hathaway — a boy named Jonathan Rosebanks Shulman. All in all, things seem to be really steady between the couple, so they were probably shocked (or just really, really entertained) after Shulman started making headlines for this crazy conspiracy theory.

One very observant fan realized that Shulman’s doppelgänger is none other than William Shakespeare. It’s almost uncanny. His eyes, nose, and even his face shape seem to be almost identical to the famous playwright.

But that’s not even the weirdest part. While you know him best for penning such high school English class hits like Hamlet and Othello, do you know much about Shakespeare’s personal life?

Shakespeare had three children — a daughter named Susanna and twins named Hamnet and Judith. All three children were shared with his wife, Anne Hathaway.

Yep. You read that right. William Shakespeare’s wife was named Anne Hathaway. So not only does Schulman resemble Shakespeare, but both men’s wives share the exact same name.

Check out the photos. Schulman looks just like Shakespeare. So of course, a lot of people assume that he’s Shakespeare traveling through time.

Others feel like both the playwright and his wife are on their second life.

And some straight-up think they’re vampires.

So, is Shulman a fan of Shakespeare? That has yet to be determined. But everyone seems to have at least one work of his that’s resonated with them, so chances are, he’s at least familiar.

If Hathaway suddenly announces she’s pregnant with twins, this theory could get even weirder.
