This BTS Member Was Caught Crying On Stage, And Fans Think This Is Why

Concerts are a truly unique experience where you get to listen to your favorite band surrounded by people who have a similar taste in music. As for everyone’s favorite Korean boyband, the Bangtang Boys (better known as BTS), they were performing a show in New Jersey as part of their North American tour when BTS fans noticed something that made them do a double-take. BTS member Taehyung, or “V,” appeared to be shedding a tear during their performance of “The Truth Untold,” an emotional, ballad-like song from their new album Love Yourself: Tear.

Social media quickly lit up with support for V as those who attended posted pictures from the concert of him on the big screen, with what looks like a teardrop going down the side of his face. However, this isn’t the first time that things have gotten emotional at a BTS show. According to Teen Vogue, the BTS fandom is known for their undying devotion to the K-Pop band, and they’ve certainly been part of some emotional moments during live shows.

While fans aren’t sure why V suddenly got emotional — many think it may have had to do with the emotional nature of “The Truth Untold” — their posts gave support to the beloved band member.

Using the hashtags #BTSInNewark and #WeSupportV, fans shared their support for V and the band on Twitter and Instagram. The New Jersey show was clearly highly anticipated — NorthJersey.com reported that fans camped out for days to see the band.
