Too Cool for School with These 8 Smart Hacks

Even though it feels like Summer just started, school is around the corner. Here are 8 hacks to help you be back-to-school ready.

1. Highlighter Eraser

Supplies:

• lemon
• Q-tip

Instructions:

1. Slice a lemon in half.
2. Rub one end of a Q-tip in the lemon.
3. Run the Q-tip over the highlighted area until it disappears.

2. No staples needed

Supplies:

• x-acto knife or scissors

Instructions:

1. Cut into the corner of your stack of papers, where the staple would normally go.
2. Fold in the edge of the corner and tuck it into the cut you made.

3. Secret Note

Supplies:

• paper
• marker

4. Tri-Colored Highlighter

Supplies:

• 3 colored highlighters (yellow, blue, and pink)

Instructions:

1. Let the blue highlighter bleed onto the yellow highlighter on one end.
2. Let the pink highlighter bleed onto the other end.

5. Tissue Paper Flowers

Supplies:

• tissue paper
• marker or pencil

6. Draw the perfect circle

Supplies:

• paper clips
• markers

Instructions:

1. Link together two paperclips.
2. Use one marker as the anchor on the paper and the other to draw your circle.
3. Add or remove paperclips to make your circle bigger or smaller.

7. Binder Pouch

Supplies:

• storage bag
• tape
• 3-hole punch
• binder

Instructions:

1. Trifold the bottom of the Ziploc bag
2. Tape down the edges in the middle.
3. 3-hole punch the other end of the fold.
4. Fit the bag into the 3-ring binder.

8. Clean pencil sharpening

Supplies:

• empty tic-tac box
• handheld pencil sharpener

Instructions:

1. Remove the top of the empty tic-tac container.
2. Fit a small handheld sharpener into the opening of the top, blade side facing in.
3. Fit the top back onto the tic-tac container.
