6 Easy DIY Lamps

It doesn’t take a professional interior designer to tell you that the right lighting can dramatically transform a room. A little candlelight can set a romantic tone for an evening out at your favorite restaurant. Simple white drapes and colorful lights are go-to for event coordinators when they need to make a wedding venue feel intimate and upscale. Have you ever walked into a room and just felt immediately cozy and relaxed by the ambiance? Yup, that’s probably the lighting. Ever taken a photo and been amazed by a sudden youthful glow? You can thank good lighting for that too.

The problem is, fancy lighting can get expensive. The prices of the coveted Edison lightbulb are enough to burn anyone’s budget. Cute brass lanterns and geometric light fixtures are allllll the rage right now, but who can afford the perfect mid-century modern decor of their dreams on a millennial salary? We are all about being DIY smart and live for a good home decor hack. These brilliant and simple lighting tricks will help you transform a children’s play-room into a magical land of rainbows and mystical colors. Have you ever dreamed about being a Hollywood movie star? Well, we can show you how to make a bordered vanity that will make you feel just like Marilyn Monroe. Let us enlighten you (no pun intended) about a few fun ways to illuminate any environment.
