These 8 Baking Hacks Are All You Knead to Make Your Life in the Kitchen Easier

Fresh-Again Bread

Don’t throw out that roll of stale bread. Save it with just a little bit of water!

  1. Run your roll of bread under some water for a few seconds.
  2. Bake at 325°F/160°C for 8 minutes.

Stuffed Cookies

These molten cookies are a game changer!

  1. Fill the ice cube tray with the first layer of cookie dough. Leave enough space in each well for the filling and top layer.
  2. Add a piece of dark chocolate to 4 of the wells. Repeat with the caramel and marshmallow pieces.
  3. Cover each well with the final layer of cookie dough.
  4. Cover the ice cube tray with saran wrap.
  5. You can keep these cookie dough bites in the freezer for up to 2 months.
  6. When you’re ready to bake, flip the tray over on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet.
  7. Arranged the cookie dough on the sheet.
  8. Bake for at 325°F/160°C for 8-12 minutes.

Mason Jar Whipped Cream

This is almost like whip cream that comes out of the can… but it’s healthier!

  1. For best results, pop your mason jar into the freezer for at least 20 minutes before. Otherwise, your heavy cream won’t whip.
  2. To a tall mason pour in 1 cup heavy whipping cream, 1 Tbsp powdered sugar, and 1 tsp vanilla extract.
  3. Screw on the mason jar lid and give it a good shake for at least one minute, or until your heavy cream solidifies.

 

Wrong Size Pan?

  1. Measure out a piece of aluminum foil to the correct pan size.
  2. Place the aluminum foil in your too-big pan.
  3. Fold the foil to cover the edges of the pan that it touches.
  4. Fold the 4th edge of the foil to create your own edge of the pan.
  5. Add a piece of parchment paper in the foil pan.

 

Crumby Frosting Alternative

Ditch the frosting and avoid the frustration of ruining your cake. It’s also healthier!

  1. Lay the lace fabric over an uniced cake.
  2. Using a mesh strainer, dust powdered sugar over the lace covered cake until you reach your desired coating.
  3. Carefully remove the lace to reveal the pattern.
