Celebrity couples definitely don’t have it easy. Fresh off of a split with Ariana Grande, Pete Davidson’s love life made the news again shortly after when he met and promptly started dating actress Kate Beckinsale. And, people had opinions. So many, in fact, that Davidson actually addressed them on Saturday Night Live‘s Weekend Update.
So, what was the issue? Beckinsale is a lot older than Davidson. He’s currently 25, and she’s 45. Sadly, the relationship didn’t last, but their split had nothing to do with age, and everything to do with location considering that Davidson has such a strong love for the East Coast. Things reportedly ended quietly, both still having nothing but respect for one another.
Maybe it’s the world’s sudden interest in Davidson that made it more exciting. Or, perhaps people just aren’t used to older, established women going out with men who are significantly younger than them. But the real intrigue here is the fact that plenty of celebrities have dated people far outside their own age bracket. When it comes to celebrity couples in Hollywood, age really is just a number.
Here are some of the most notable celebrity couples who not share a large age gap with their partner, but have proven throughout the years that it’s not something worth dwelling on.
1. Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds: 11 Years

It really seems like these two were cut from the same cloth — even if it was 11 years apart.
Lively was born on August 25, 1987. Reynolds was born on October 23, 1976. The two currently share two gorgeous daughters, James and Inez (with another child on the way!), and a deep love for Instagram pranks. It’s hard to think about where these two would be if they let age get in the way of their romance.
2. Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Nick Jonas: 10 Years

Chopra Jonas was born on July 18th, 1982, while Nick Jonas was born a full ten years later on September 16, 1992. Chopra Jonas isn’t sure why people have had such an issue with the gap, stating to InStyle: “I find it really amazing when you flip it and the guy is older, no one cares and actually people like it.”

4. Ariel Winter and Levi Meaden: 10 Years
