Cleaning a Bracelet With Pickle Juice

Materials: 

  • Dull Bracelet
  • Pickle Juice
  • Baking Soda
  • Cleaning Cloth

 

Instructions:

  1. Put bracelet into pickle juice.
  2. Add baking soda.
  3. Let sit for 5 minutes.
  4. Remove from pickle juice and wipe down until clean and sparkling.

 

Shirt Into Cardigan

Materials:

  • Large T-Shirt
  • Fabric Scissors
  • Needle
  • Thread

 

Instructions:

  1. Lay out shirt flat.
  2. Use pair of scissors to cut along entire left seam of shirt (from torso to underarm and shoulder).
  3. Then cut along the right seam, only from torso to underarm (leave shoulder intact).
  4. Lay open shirt so that neckline is aligned and whole shirt can be seen.
  5. Fold down left side to align sleeves.
  6. Repeat with right side.
  7. Cut out excess material to create a new sleeve.
  8. Then sew up sleeve.
  9. Repeat on other side.

 

Clean Shoes With Lemon and Baking Soda

Materials:

  • Dirty Shoes
  • Lemon
  • Baking Soda
  • Toothbrush
  • Water

 

Instructions:

  1. Squeeze lemon juice onto toothbrush.
  2. Then dip into baking soda.
  3. Scrub onto dirty shoes to loosen dirt.
  4. Scrub all over until shoe is covered in solution.
  5. Wash off solution with water to reveal clean shoes. 

 

Dress Shirt Into Dress

Materials:

  • Large Stained Dress Shirt
  • Smaller Dress Shirt
  • Fabric Scissors
  • Needle
  • Thread

 

Instructions: 

  1. Remove top of stained shirt, cutting off collar and sleeves.
  2. Add a smaller white dress shirt.
  3. Cut off sleeves and bottom of smaller white dress shirt.
  4. Sew together. 

 

Resizing Big Jeans

Materials:

  • Jeans (that are big in the waist)
  • Needle 
  • Thread
  • Fabric Scissors 

 

Instructions:

  1. Starting from the top of band, push needle through.
  2. Go across horizontally and push needle through going down (so that the needle is on top of the fabric).
  3. Go across horizontally, making the thread length smaller.
  4. Repeat steps, making the thread smaller each time, until the end of the belt loop.
  5. Repeat steps 1 through 4 on other side of belt loop.
  6. Pull strings from both sides to tighten jeans. 
  7. Tie off and cut thread to finish.  

 

Embroidery Flower with Comb

Materials: 

  • Cap
  • Comb
  • Embroidery Floss/Thread
  • Needle
  • Fabric Scissors

 

Instructions: 

  1. Starting with a green embroidered triangle on cap, place a comb 1 inch away from the triangle.
  2. Push needle through near middle of triangle.
  3. Wrap thread around comb tooth, bringing needle back towards starting point and push needle down.
  4. Bring needle back up and repeat wrapping thread 2 times around middle comb tooth.
  5. Repeat steps 2 through 4, moving out to next set of teeth until a full flower is formed. 
  6. Lift comb up and pull tight. 
  7. Cut top of threads on the comb. 
  8. Remove loose threads. 
  9. Comb out to fluff up flower.
