We’re going to need to take the rest of the afternoon off. This news is just too heavy to bear. As of today, August 23rd, our much-loved Urban Decay Naked Palette has been sent to the cosmetics graveyard, never to be swatched, blended, or buffed ever again.

!!"

It’s times like this when we’re reminded that we mustn’t take things for granted. Urban Decay’s Naked has been the go-to eyeshadow palette for makeup lovers around the world since its release in 2010. With 12 gorgeous matte and shimmer neutral shades, we could always rely on Naked to help achieve both day and nighttime looks with ease. It was always there and it was always going to be there — or so we thought.

In a recent press release, Urban Decay announced the removal of the iconic Naked Palette from its repertoire. “The Naked Palette has been a total game-changer and category creator, leading the palette category for the last eight years,” the brand stated. “It’s become a staple in everyone’s makeup collection, and we’re so proud of that. But they say if you’re going to go out, you should go out on top, so it’s time to do that. And, we need to make room for what’s next.”

It looks like we’ll have to don our mourning look — a full lid of “Creep” blended out with “Hustle” and “Darkhorse.”

But ladies and gentlemen, this is not the time to cry our mascara off. Now is the time for action.

Starting today, the Naked Palette will go on sale in-store and online. While supplies last, grab a Naked Palette for 50% off the original $54 price. That’s only $27!

And after you’ve made you last Naked purchase ever, savor every moment you spend with your new palette. Savor it!

Although Naked’s fame inspired several spinoff palettes (Naked 2, Naked 3, Naked Heat, and Naked Basics), you can never forget your first. As the wise Nicole Ricci once said, “You are the OG.”

We love you Naked, and we will never forget you.
