Pop diva/our role model Ariana Grande knows how to rock a high ponytail. In fact, since her debut as an independent pop artist in 2013, she’s made the high pony her signature look. So when a hater expressed their exasperation for the ponytail on Instagram, Grande came to her own defense and shut the troll down with a simple two-word statement.

!!"

On July 16th, Grande’s stylist Mimi Cuttrell posted a photo of Grande while the star was out and about in N.Y.C. with beau Pete Davidson. As she always does, Grande looked posh and perfect in a neutral ’90s-esque look complete with thigh-high boots and her classic pony.

An Instagram user left a comment on Cuttrell’s post, bluntly stating, “I’m sick of that ponytail.” Five minutes later, Grande responded, “I’m not.”

Sorry not sorry, user mslovedovey (who is seemingly not that into sharing the love despite her Instagram handle). If you don’t spread love, you won’t receive it.

Grande clearly doesn’t need validation from anyone. She’s going to wear her hair the way she wants, whether we like it or not — as she should! The interaction was captured and reposted by the CommentsByCelebs Instagram account.

Although Grande is far from over the high ponytail look, she has been dabbling in different hairstyles while promoting her latest album Sweetener, due out August 17th. For instance, check out this gorgeous bleach blonde low pony Grande recently sported:

And we even got a rare glimpse of Grande’s hair worn down back in May.

Plus, in her music video for “God Is A Woman,” Grande is all curls and braids, which we can all agree are A+ looks.

No matter which style she chooses to rock, Grande’s hair is not something that affects us. Therefore, we have no right to negatively comment on it. And if you dare to cast shade, prepare to be shut down by God…who is a woman named Ariana Grande.
