Kylie Jenner And Sofia Richie Are Giving Us Serious BFF-Envy

What has to be one of the best jobs in the world? Being Kylie Jenner’s BFF. True Kardashian fans know that the role was vacant for some time, after Jordyn Woods — who used to be inseparable from Jenner — was caught flirting and making out with Khloé Kardashian’s now-ex, Tristan Thompson. But just a few days ago, Jenner officially stopped following Woods on Instagram. And that may be because she’s got a brand new BFF who, oddly enough, also has ties to her own family: Sofia Richie.

Jenner has been spending a ton of time with Sofia Richie, who’s currently dating Kourtney Kardashian’s ex-husband Scott Disick. Reportedly, Kardashian is completely fine with both the relationship and the friendship. Talk about a healthy connection.

According to E! Online, it took some time for Richie to naturally fit in with the family and their specific dynamic.

But as time went on, the Kardashians and Jenners realized that Richie was trustworthy and dating Disick for all of the right reasons.

“Kourtney is thrilled that Kylie has found a bond with Sofia. She thinks it’s great for Kylie and loves that everyone can get along and spend time together,” a source reportedly told E! “If Sofia and Scott were to ever break up, her and Kylie would still be very good friends,” they added.

You probably know a little more about Kylie Jenner than Sofia Richie. So, here’s a little bit of information on the 20-year-old model to help fill you in.

First, yes. She’s the daughter of Lionel Richie and the sister of Nicole Richie. She’s been attached at the hip to Disick since 2017.

Since the family is so tight-knit, and Disick is still in the picture because of his and Kourtney Kardashian’s children, it just makes sense that Richie would cross paths with Jenner a bunch.

But it seems like Jenner and Richie were tight even before Richie started dating Disick. They’ve been seen hanging out together for years, just probably not as closely.

Back in 2014, they even seemed to have the same taste in clothes. Is it a coincidence, or did they both buy that shirt together?

In fact, back in 2013, Perez Hilton referred to them as the “new Paris and Nicole.”

That didn’t happen, but based on Sofia Richie’s family, you could see where Perez would get that impression.

The two reportedly got even closer after Jenner had to deal with the fallout surrounding Woods. At least it’s obvious that this bond was genuine, and Richie didn’t just try to offer her support since she thought it’d be beneficial to her.

Woods once lived with the Kardashians, so it’s pretty obvious how much Jenner values her friendships. And Richie found a way to connect with the family in a completely authentic way.

Yes, it raised a few eyebrows because Disick is 15 years older than Richie. But hey — they’ve made it work.

As far as Instagram goes, the two share a handful of photos with each other. But Jenner seems to profile buddy Anastasia “Stassie” Karanikolaou slightly more.

Should Richie take this as a diss? Probably not. There’s room for plenty of good friends in Jenner’s life.

Plus, Richie and Jenner have so much history together. They go well beyond Instagram.

The two of them are so admirable because they’re unknowingly teaching their fans about friendship. Real friendships may have obstacles — like, say, your buddy dating your sister’s ex — but, giving those relationships some time to figure themselves out can be invaluable.

It also proves that good friends are there for you when times get tough. Woods (allegedly) betrayed the Kardashians, and Jenner made a move that was likely very hard.

When you’re constantly in the spotlight like Jenner, it could be difficult to find people who won’t take your fame for granted. Richie already has a celebrity background, so the friendship seems even more sincere.

It’d be great if Jenner and Richie eventually end up being part of the same family. They already act like sisters, so they’d pretty much be living the dream!
