Mariah Carey is truly an ageless wonder, and being the pop music icon she is, Carey must have access to the best of the best skin treatments on the market. But as we saw in the latest episode of her “Moments with Mimi” Instagram series, Carey doesn’t buy into Botox or expensive facials to prevent aging. No — Carey relies on brown sugar and beet juice to keep her face looking youthful and fresh. (LOL — um, we don’t think so, either.)

!!"

In a July 15th IGTV post, Carey walks songstress Dinah Jane through her at-home spa treatments she supposedly uses on the reg. And sorry, but we just can’t picture Mariah Carey slathering her face with cold milk and honey, can you?

“Moments with Mimi – Beauty Tips with Dinah Jane!” Carey captioned her IGTV post. “Check out my home-made spa treatments featuring the beautiful @dinahjane97 ! You’re welcome everybody lol! #MomentsWithMimi”

In the video, Carey walks us through four homemade “beauty secrets” — a brown sugar and honey scrub, a cold milk compress, beet juice blush, and beet juice and honey lipstick. To be fair, yes, some of these treatments are beneficial for the skin. However, there’s no way in heck that Mariah Carey put this stuff on her face. We just know it.

She teased the tutorial a couple of days ahead of time.

The fact that Carey is in full glam makeup and wearing a skin-tight sequin dress while applying all-natural skincare on Dinah Jane is so hilarious. The irony! It stings!

And you better believe someone called out the fact that there is a wind machine working magic offscreen of the IGTV video. In fact, model Ruby Rose was the first to notice it. Is that part of the skincare routine?

It’s just…It’s just SO Mariah Carey we can’t stand it.

But, truth be told, the general public doesn’t really care if Carey actually uses these at-home treatments or not. Like everything Carey does, we stan without question.

You can question her all you want. But at the end of the day, she’s still the most iconic person on the face of the planet.

She references her own songs without batting an eye. That is the sign of a true diva who must be worshipped.

If someone who has looked this good for decades tells us to put a milk-soaked towel on our face, we have no choice but to obey. It’s just the way it is.

Yes, we may be wasting good food. And no, we don’t really know if this treatment will do anything for us. But we don’t care.

If you want to use food as skincare, make sure to consult someone other than newly self-minted skincare guru Mariah Carey — like your dermatologist. What might be good for Mimi’s skin might not work for yours.

And hey — Carey did go to beauty school, after all.

According to Latina.com, Mariah’s former teacher claims she was not too interested in learning the trade secrets of the beauty world.

“Mariah was a bit of a diva,” the alleged teacher claimed. “And was not terribly interested in learning the trade of hair and makeup. Wanted to sing instead. I guess that worked out.”

Still, some things had to stick from beauty school, right?

we can only assume that she must know what she’s talking about when she mentions that milk enzyme. Right?

As is this avocado pit shampoo. Mariah, are you seeing this?

We appreciate the effort, Mariah. However, it’s hard to take advice about natural skincare from someone who has clearly been in the makeup chair for a few hours. We love you, nonetheless.
