Just one day after Justin Bieber defended his manager, Scooter Braun, with a few heated Instagram posts directed at Taylor Swift, he’s already earned himself a spot back in the news cycle— and this time he’s the one on blast. The Canadian superstar’s former choreographer and collaborator, Emma Portner, has come out with some harsh revelations against the singer. Portner (who is married to actor Ellen Page) worked extensively on Bieber’s 2016 Purpose tour and took to Instagram on July 1, 2019, to not only challenge his treatment of women, but to accuse him of treating her extremely poorly.

Emma Portner Slammed Justin Bieber On Her Instagram story

The professional choreographer expressed regret at having worked for the singer who she alleges took advantage of her work.

While the post was only available for 24-hours, some outlets including PopCrave captured the statement, which read in part:

“I regret working under your name. I gave your universe my naive body, creativity, time and effort. For content you made millions off of. While I made zilch. Natta [sic]. Barely anything. Less than minimum wage for the hours I invested.”

Bieber Was Accused Of Numerous Indiscretions

Portner also took aim at Justin’s other collaborators.

From complaints about Bieber’s degrading attitude toward women to admitting that she was abysmally paid, Emma Portner revealed that the singer also worked with other “overly problematic people.” “I couldn’t afford to eat. I was sweeping studio floors to be able to practice my own craft,” her story continued. “The way you degrade women is an abomination,” she said pointedly at Bieber.

Hillsong Came Under Fire, Too

As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, Portner criticized Bieber’s alignment with the church.

The Hillsong church has taken a controversial stance against gay marriage in the past, and Emma Portner didn’t hesitate to point out Bieber’s association. This follows Ellen Page calling out Chris Pratt in February 2019 for showing his support for the infamously anti-LGBTQ+ church in an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

“You religiously go to a church that does not support the LGBTQ+ community,” Portner noted. “Your company hired an out lesbian in your music video, and to choreograph some content for your purpose world tour. How do you feel about that? A lesbian, HELPING YOU, for a disrespectful amount of money, as you attend a church that goes against my existence?”

Portner Encouraged Bieber To Educate Himself

While it’s clear that Portner was expressing her frustration with the singer’s poor treatment of her and his problematic alignments, she also had some constructive advice for Bieber.

“I can only hope for your enlightenment. That you read a ton of books. I will gladly purchase and send you some books that will change the way your traumatized brain thinks. You depend on proper guidance to move forward. I BEG that you find it. A straight white pastor/manager can’t be your only major source of world view.” Portner noted, “I have so much to say but mostly…I really hope you educate yourself beyond your bible. You have IMMENSE power. Use it to STOP DEGRADING WOMEN.”

Even Chris Brown Got A Shout Out

Before ending her call out against Bieber, Portner took a moment to look at Chris Brown.

Chris Brown, whose abuse allegations include physical abuse as well as stalking, recently released a new single with Bieber. “Don’t Check On Me,” which is a song directed at exes (whether fictional or not has yet to be confirmed by either singer) was released last week. Portner ended her story by saying: “We should all be ‘checking on you’ and Chris Brown because you both need to be held accountable.”

Yikes! Justin Bieber has yet to respond to Emma Portner’s accusations, but considering that he has been very active on social media lately, it’s probably just a matter of time.
