Hey — sometimes it happens. You’re asleep, and you can’t stop dreaming about bathrooms. Whether it’s finding one in time, or perhaps entering a house that’s full of nothing but, it’s a dream that a lot of us have had before. Personally, one of my most haunting dreams has included entering a public restroom and realizing all of the stalls are dirty, without doors attached. And I’ve had this dream at least twice. What does it all mean?
Turns out, dreaming of toilets and bathrooms has something to do with the personal connection you have with people. Let’s put it this way — when you go to the bathroom, you’re “relieving yourself.” You physically and mentally feel better after you go. It’s a human action, and holding it in is rather unpleasant.
So, imagine walking into a bathroom and being unable to do that. Either because the bathrooms aren’t in a sanitary condition, or maybe they’re not as private as you want. You’re still holding something in without an outlet to use. Think hard about whether or not there’s something you’ve been meaning to tell someone. Or, maybe you’re upset with someone, but don’t know how to accurately let them know without it blowing up in your face.

According to Dreamscloud, public bathrooms often symbolize a problem at work or within your social life. If it’s a bathroom you’re familiar with, like in your own house, it may be an issue with the people you’re sharing your walls with.
The site also says that the lack of privacy may mean you’re seeking a little more “me time” during the day and can’t find it. This rang true for me, as it’s been quite some time since I’ve gone to the movies by myself or simply took a walk without a toddler right next to me. All moms will admit, having time to yourself is a rarity.
Also? Maybe you just have to go to the bathroom. Just because you’re asleep, it doesn’t mean that your body isn’t trying to communicate with you regarding your needs. So if you’ve been dreaming of bathrooms a lot, and also drinking a Big Gulp right before bed, that may be the answer you’re looking for.

Dreams are such fascinating things — and if you’ve noticed yours have had a similar theme, like bathrooms, it may be your brain secretly trying to help you work out bigger situations.
